The Tenerife region
Tenerife is the biggest of the seven islands of the Canary Islands (2034sq km), the highest one (3718m) and also the most populated, This volcanic island is located at the Atlantic Ocean and the African Coast it is only 300 km away.The island enjoys of a perfect climate with markedly little change in the average temperatures between summer and winter -- varying between 15ºC and 24ºC. There is only very occasional rain. With lush forests in the northern part, mountains, desserts, volcanoes, exotic plant, animal life and spectacular beaches ,it is everyone’s dream holiday. Heaven on earth!
Los Cristianos / Cristian Sur area
Los Cristianos still has the feel of a small fishing village,the fishing fleet still unload the fish at the harbour,also you are able to buy the fresh catch from stalls nearby. Why not sit in the church square and people watch,if you visit when a fiesta is on you will find yourselve caught up in the parade, and with street entertainment,dancing, and fireworks it is a day to remember.From the harbour you can take a boat trip to see the Whales and Dolphins.For the more sporty ,there is a host of water sports, golf, walking trails,quad biking,horse riding,bowling,and a visit to the new Siam water park is a must.Take a trip up Mount Teide where many movies have been made.Also there are several markets held in different areas each week.
