The Tenerife region
Tenerife is a beautiful island full of surprises seeing is believing !!!
Although Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands it is small enough for tourists to visit all parts of the island. Several excursions are available locally to places such as Loro Park which has a large collection of parrots and other wildlife including a penguin house complete with its own antartic climate. For the more adventurous there are safari excursions by 4 wheel drive vehicle or camel and sightseeing tours of Mount Teide or the neighbouring island of La Gomora.
For the sportsman there are several golf courses or if you fancy catching a marlin, big game fishing boats operate from the harbour. Also from the harbour you can take a boat to see the local whales and dolphins and if you want a real close up view, diving lessons and trips are available.
Los Cristianos / Arona area
Los Cristianos has numerous shops in the town centre and a good selection of bars and restaurants catering for every taste. Los Cristianos is wheelchair friendly and most areas offer access to disabled people. Wheelchairs and mobility scooters can be hired locally.
