About the home

Spacious Detached villa in South Tenerife with private pool (10.2 metre x 4.5). This lovely villa is larger than the average holiday self-catering villa and is a home from home. Three spacious bedrooms including a master suite with huge Superking sized bed and luxury en suite bathroom with a jacuzzi bath plus a walk-in wardrobe.

The holiday villa is situated in a lovely green oasis in a quiet location but within a 10 minute drive of the beaches and resorts of Los Cristianos or Playa las Americas, Tenerife. Guests book again and again.

The spacious well furnished villa offers;

Master suite with Super King size bed, Walk in wardrobe and Luxurious en suite bathroom complete with vanity basin and corner Jacuzzi bath.

Bedroomed two has a double bed, built in wardrobes and dressing table

Third bedroom with twin beds, large built in warbrobes and chest of drawers + a Safe in the wardrobe

In between these two spacious bedrooms there is a modern shower room with corner shower, toilet and vanity unit.

For all your self-catering needs there is a separate fully fitted kitchen kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, washing machine, fridge/freezer, kettle and toaster.

The spacious lounge with Satellite TV which receives many programmes in English including BBC and ITV etc. The lounge overlooks your own large private pool and down towards the sea. For the summer months there is a tower fan.

There is a bookshelf full of books for guests to read including books on local fauna and flora and places of interest and walks.

The dining area has a table which extends to seat six.

Outside there is a large patio table and chairs plus sunbeds overlooking the pool.

The garden is full of tropical plants and shrubs. There's even a lemon tree which bears lemons for most of the year - so you can have fresh lemon for your drinks.

A solar cover is supplied for the large swimming pool to heat up the water during the winter months

The villa is for the more discerning guests who wish to get away from the tourist area but still be in close proximity of all facilities. La Florida (so named for its lush palm trees) is an oasis situated between the Tenerife villages of La Camella and Valle San Lorenzo but still only a 10 minute drive to the sandy beaches of Los Cristianos or Playa las Americas.

The garden boasts some fruit trees and there are usually lemons on the tree most of the year so you may be able to pick a fresh lemon for your drink. There is also a small herb garden for those who wish to cook.

Thre is a solar cover fitted on the pool for the cooler months to heat the water.

I can hold the villa for 2 days for guests to source flights. I then ask for a 10% deposit and the balance 8 weeks before the holiday.

Arrival days are usually a Friday - occasionally other days can be offered.

The Tenerife region

Tenerife offers a temperate climate all year round which makes the Canary Islands the nearest place from the UK for a winter sun break. In fact the temperature remains constant for most of the year.

There is plenty to see and do with a full range of water sports, golf, horse riding, quad biking - in fact every activity you could wish. You can also enjoy on the local cuisine, enjoy the evening shows or stroll around enjoying the sunset on the beach.

The new Siam Park is only a 10 minute drive away and the Ecologicial Park only about a five minute drive away.

Plus 5 golf courses withina 20 minute drive.

The Los Cristianos / Valle San Lorenzo area

The villa is situated at La Florida between the two Tenerife villages of La Camella and Valle San Lorezo. Los Cristanos is the nearest resort and is about a 10 minute drive away and Playa las Americas approximately 12 minutes away. I provide easy to follow instructions from the airport.

You are away from the hustle and bustle of the resorts while being close enough to enjoy all the facilities. Valle San Lorenzo is only half a mile, easy walk away, and boasts a variety of shops, restaurants and bars and includes bakeries which bake fresh bread daily.

The area around Valle San Lorenzo boasts some of the most popular and well known restaurants on the island and it is fast becoming the "in" place to eat. But there are restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets.

A car is recommended but there is an hourly bus service to Los Cristianos from the end of the road. The La Florida tennis club is only a couple of minutes stroll away where you can enjoy a drink or lunch or for the more energetic a game of tennis. Etrance is free to the tennis club althougn there is a charge for the hire of the courts.

There are 5 golf courses all within a 20 minute drive

The villa was our home for 8 years and is much larger than the usual 'holiday let' villas around. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms (one en-suite) this spacious villa sleeps 6.

Guestbook for La Florida

Recently returned after a holiday in your lovely villa. This was one of the best holidays we have had. The position of the villa was excellent, quiet but within an easy walk to the Spanish village with all its shops. The main resort was just a 10 minute drive but we rarely bothered as having our own pool was great. March 2010

What a wonderful villa. Such a quiet position yet near to the resorts - we couldn't have asked for a better location.

Great time in the sun - the villa is in an enviable position quiet but within a reasonable distance. We walked to Valle San Lorenzo for fresh bread daily and rarely used the car to go down to the resorts as the villa was perfect.

November 2009 and the weather was glorious and the villa had everything we could want. Can we book again for next year. (Mr & Mrs Clifton & family)

July 2010 - what a great holiday. Weather was wonderful and villa had everything we could need. The pool was much larger than any other private villa we have stayed in.
