Home description

The complex has its own communal swimming pool, reception and restaurant and is situated 15 minutes from the beach. There are supermarkets, a bank and plenty of restaurants close by. The complex is also within easy reach of the local bus station and the port of Los Cristianos.

Port Royale is close to a golf course and is 10 minutes by taxi to Las Americas.

The Tenerife region

Tenerife is the largest Island in the Canaries and boasts the spectacular volcano Mount Teide, which is the highest mountain in Spain. Access to the now extinct volcano is either by foot or by cable car that will carry you almost to the very summit. From the peak, on a clear day, you are in heaven and have breathtaking views of Gran canaria, La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro. This is the Canary Islands most visited tourist attraction and must not be missed.

As the climate varies very little between Summer and Winter, Tenerife is one of the best all year round holiday destinations.

During February Carnivals are the most important celebrations. During June and August there are various Festivals celebrating the patron saints. Also during June is one of the most prestigious European classical music festivals, with the best performers and orchestras taking part.

Regardless of your age you will be fascinated by Loro Parque. Originally a Parrot Park, it has now grown into Tenerife's second biggest attraction after mount Teide.

There are many different tours on offer around the Island and the Loro parque is home to the worlds most important Parrot collection with over 300 species, an amazing Sea-Lion show, Dolphin Show, Parrot Show, Aquarium with Shark tunnel, Gorillas, Chimpanzees, Tigers, Jaguars, Flamingos, Alligators, Tortoises, Orchid House, Gambian Market, a 'NaturaVision' Cinema and the worlds largest Penguinarium with a reproduction Antarctic climate within which 12 tons of snow falls a day. Their newest attraction are the Orcas (Killer Whales). Well worth a visit.

Los Cristianos / Oasis del Sur area

Los Cristianos is situated 15 km's west of the southern airport (Reina Sofía).This is without a doubt one of the most popular resorts on the Canary Islands. The artificial beaches are very nice and it has a wonderful harbour that offers fishing trips, pleasure cruises, glass bottom boats, diving excursions and ferries to La Gomera. You can buy local fresh fish from stalls by the quayside, ideal for lunch with salad and canarian potatoes! The Sunday Market is also very popular.

Port Royale is situated in a quiet position overlooking Los Cristianos, with good restaurants, supermarkets and bars. It is also only a 15 minute walk into the town where the nightlife is lively and for the real nightowls neighbouring Playa de Las Americas is the place to go.

Located between Los Cristianos and Playa de Las Americas, approximately 5 minutes taxi ride is the local Golf Course.

How to get there

♦ Fly from UK to Tenerife South, some airlines fly once a week and others fly more frequently, even daily.
♦ Los Cristianos is approximately a 15 minute drive from the airport, taxis cost approximately 20 Euros.
♦ Car hire can vary but there are several companies at the airport to choose from, whether booking in advance or when you arrive, these include Hertz, Autoreisen and Carjet.

As Port Royale is located on the hillside overlooking Los Cristianos, it is in a peaceful location, making it ideal for dining on the balcony. There are stunning views from this location, but Port Royale also has the benefit of only being a 15 minute walk into the centre of Los Cristianos or to the beach.

This apartment is one of three apartments available (telephone for more details) and is extremely comfortable with everything you might need for your stay.

The pool is heated from October to April. On the balcony is patio furniture and sun blind. Parking is available in the road in front and behind the complex.

● Balance required 8 weeks prior to departure
● A £50 refundable deposit is also required to cover any loss/damage and return of keys.
