The Tenerife region

Tenerife is the largest of the Canary islands, and is known as the Island of Eternal Spring. It has a perfect year-round climate, and is bathed in almost continuous sunshine and possesses a natural beauty that stuns even the most seasoned traveller. Tenerife continues to attract more and more people every year. Some will be experiencing the island for the 1st time, but a remarkably high percentage will return over and over. A greater number of people return to Tenerife than any other tourist destination in Europe
There are plenty of places to see and things to do in Tenerife including the incredible lunar landscapes of the Teide National Park, with Mount Teide at 3,700m high, Spain's highest peak dominating the island. Loro Parque is also a 'must see' with Parrot, Sea-Lion, Dolphin shows and the worlds largest Penguinarium with a reproduction Antarctic climate within which 12 tonnes of snow falls a day!


Los Cristianos / Arona area

There are several golf courses in the area, Los Cristianos Golf course is within walking distance, Costa Adeje, Golf del Sur, Amarilla Golf, and Las Americas Golf courses are all within 10 minute drive. The beach and Harbour is between 5 and 10 minutes walk away, depending on your energy levels. Once you have arrived at the seafront, you can walk along the promenade all the way to Adeje, this will take two or three hours, depending on the frequency and amount of refreshment stops!
Daily excursions leave the port to a variety of islands. Pleasure trips and water sports are available here.


How to get there

Reina Sofia Airport is a 10-minute drive away, there are plenty of taxis available, and the usual charge is 20 Euro each way. There are several car hire companies on the Island, compare them for best deals when you arrive. There’s ample parking for your hire vehicle near the apartment. It’s cheap and easy to get here!

Our apartment is furnished to a Very high Standard throughout. Although newly constructed, we have upgraded the apartment extensively, including widening and moving of doors to enable wheelchair access. The layout of the apartment consists of a Kitchen/lounge, Master bedroom with Double bed and En suite, second bedroom with two singles. There is also another bathroom with shower. The lounge is open plan to the kitchen, and has a luxurious leather corner sofa, big enough to seat four. Satellite television and DVD will keep you entertained, views out of French windows toward the sea. Towels and linen are provided and changed on a weekly basis. The apartment will be cleaned on your arrival and departure. Please bring your own pool towels.
Heating and cooling Air conditioning is fitted in all rooms, Ideal for couples and families. Owing to large investment in luxury furnishings, we have a strict non-smoking policy at our apartment, sorry.
This apartment has wheelchair friendly features, but has not purposely adapted for wheelchair users. All doors have been widened to 72cm, and access to the apartment is ramped with no steps. The bathroom does not have a roll in shower, but does have a clever seat built in to the shower tray. For specific disabled equipment hire, there are various hire specialists in the area.

El Mirador is a Stunning new complex, built in 2006 Canarian style with views of Los Cristianos and the sea. The complex has lovely landscaped gardens and boasts 2 swimming pools as well as a children's pool. Only a few minutes walk to the beach and old town of Los Cristianos, and only 15 minutes by car or taxi to Reina Sofia Airport. The complex is perfectly placed for the Ideal Holiday. You can either take advantage of several bars, restaurants and a shopping mall close to the complex, or you can walk into Los Cristianos to the many bars, restaurants, shops and nightlife that it is famous for. The front terrace is 87m2, and has views to the mountains with access from the street. This area gets sun all day in the summer, but in the winter only until 3.00pm. Palm trees, and bougainvillea planting is the order of the day here.
The rear terrace is 62m2, and has sea views. A table and 6 chairs is provided for Al fresco dining. There are 4 sun beds for use on any of the terraces. Both terraces have gates to allow relaxation for those with small children. The complex has several swimming pools, including a kiddie's pool.

Your apartment was in new condition, thoughtfully designed and extremely well furnished - a far higher standard than would be normal in most rented accommodation. It was also spotlessly clean.
In my view your apartment is in the best placed block on the development with great views front and rear. I have no hesitation in recommending this apartment to others.
Some minor comments - some instruction on the oven would be useful and a second front door key. Also a key or info on how to get into the complex and where to dispose of rubbish! I found out by stumbling across the notice board by the office.

Hi Simon,

We really enjoyed our stay in El Mirador. I would say that your apartment is by far the nicest and most luxurious apartment we have ever stayed in. I could go on and on, from the beautiful tiles in the bathroom, the magnificent kitchen right down to the great choice of pictures and curtains. It is quite apparent that a lot of thought has been put into making this apartment very welcoming and in fact a home from home.
We loved the sea view from the back terrace. Lazed out there all day and a then had swim in the pool to cool us down.
We loved the area. Spent quite a lot of time in Summer nights. Managed to win the quiz on the first night and even tried our hand at the Karaoke. Hopefully didn't frighten too many of the locals away.
We will certainly be keeping a hold of your details for future trips to Tenerife.

Overall we thought the apartment was excellent. Very high standard of contemporary furnishings and equipment make the apartment very comfortable.
As the two (very large) terraces face in opposite directions you always have the choice of sun or shade. The terraces are also safe for young children. Great views across Los Cristianos to the sea. Lovelywalk (about 10 mins) down to the sea and centre of the town.
Relatively quiet but good balance between being near enough to town without being noisy and overcome by ‘English’ bars. Overall great apartment and location and would certainly visit again when we return to Tenerife! Thank you, Richard, Julia and Benjamin Masterson, Fulham, London.
