The Tenerife region
Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands, and lies 200km off the coast of Africa, though it belongs to Spain and has Spain's highest mountain, Mount Teide. Tenerife enjoys virtually continuous sunshine with daily temperatures ranging from typically 24 C in the winter to 34 C in the height of summer. There are several theme parks and attractions close to Los Cristianos, including the Aqua Park (water rides), Ecological Park Las Aguilas, Tenerife Zoo and plenty of local entertainment. There are five championship golf courses, four of which are located in the south of the Island including Golf Del Sur, Amarilla Golf, Golf Costa Adeje and Golf Las Americas. The north of the island is greener and cooler with a more traditional way of life.
Los Cristianos area
Los Cristianos is in the south of the island and has a wonderful harbour that offers fishing trips, pleasure cruises, glass bottom boats, diving excursions and ferries to La Gomera. The artificial beach is very nice with white sands and sunbeds and a promenade curves around the harbour where you will find plenty of cafes, restaurants and shops. Los Cristianos has managed to keep a little of its original architecture and atmosphere as a quaint fishing village. There is a big Sunday market and the town centre has some good shopping too.
How to get there
Transport from Tenerife South Airport to Paloma Beach is easy, there is a taxi rank outside the airport, catch a cab and ask for Paloma Beach Los Cristianos. The fare should be no more than 20 Euros. If you're hiring a car then the route from Reina Sofia Airport to Paloma Beach is simple, get onto the motorway (autopista) and follow the signs for Los Cristianos (it's about 20 minutes drive).

Further details indoors: Apartment includes widescreen TV with satellite including all the English Channels (BBC, ITV, C4, Regular Sky and Sky Sports One), DVD player with surround sound, video player, separate CD player.
The bedroom has one double bed rather than two singles. There is also a double sofa bed in the lounge. Highchairs and cots can be rented onsite. There is a laundry service also onsite. Sheets and towels are provided - towels are changed twice weekly and sheets are changed once weekly. NOTE: You will need to bring your own beach towels.
Further details outdoors: The pool is heated and the apartment is only steps away from the pool, though not immediately overlooking the pool. The balcony overlooks the gardens rather than the pool so is fairly quiet. The kids' pool is sectioned off and is only 0.4 metres deep. Poolside bar provides food and beverages (in plastic cups round the pool) during the day, and entertainment such as karaoke at night. Closes at midnight. There is also a row of about 7 bars and restaurants just outside the entrance to the complex, where you can get a good meal. There is a good supermarket at the next complex which stocks a lot of English food and it also has a small bakery. There is a 24-hour security presence on the complex and a management office onsite, run by an English family, open 7 days till 6pm. Internet access is available in the bar.

Would prefer smokers to smoke on balcony only, as there are four chairs and a table there and it's never cold! Also, if you are a larger party than four, we can arrange a second apartment for you.
Conditions
£100 deposit required on booking with the balance payable eight weeks prior to departure (last minute bookings can be paid at the complex on arrival).
We would ask that you confirm your arrival and departure times by email to avoid any double bookings or misunderstandings.
Check-in time is 2pm (to allow time to clean apartment if there are people staying there before you). Checkout time is usually 10am but can be flexible if there is no one coming in after you and the apartment does not need to be cleaned straight away.

The apartment was lovely, the kids really enjoyed the dvd theatre system on those days when it was too hot for them around the pool, power shower was top notch and the swivel chair was a1...all in all we had a great time and would recommend your apartment to anybody. "REVIEW ON TRIP ADVISOR" wow!!! what an apartment!! we rented this apartment fromtom and aideen from dublin via the holidaylets or holiday rentals web site or ownersdirect and it is of the highest standard.
the apartment was just like a home from home. we have friends who own holiday homes to let and they are no match for tom and aideens apartment at palomo beach.
the apartment was more than we expected and we can now not understand anyone who books an holiday via an travel agent to spend time in one of those 'box like' apartments for any length of time.
the kitchen was fully stocked with all utensils and crockery (i'm not one for cooking on holiday but if you are, you'll be in your element). it's like what we refer to here as a 'turn key' apartment. dish washer, full hob and oven, full fridge/freezer, kitchen island.
the power shower was out of this world.
tom and aideen have great taste and there's an iron, ironing board and cleaning materials gallore!! this included the basics like washing up liquid (which i have always previously had to buy when arriving at an apartment)
we stayed for three weeks - so obviously we were not out every night. to go home after a day at the beach, have a shower, and catch up on a bit of washing and cleaning the house (with a glass - or two of cava) in tenerife was brilliant. :-) :-)
vacuum cleaner, iron, ironing board, hi-fi system, (with joe ferguson on the radio!!) - even though we know him, we were on holidays so didn't listen. tv, (all the soaps, it's me or the dog and big brother) dvd, video and a selection of dvd's and books - what else could one ask for? (that's me - i'm afraid)
tom and aideen have great taste and it was just like home from home.
