Drive to the thriving resort town of Torrevieja just north of the Mar Menor or visit the beautiful historic city of Murcia , "the Capital of Baroque" with its monuments and impressive Gothic Cathedral , architecture , river and squares to eat ,drink and watch the world go by. The Los Alcazares area
The Arabs chose Los Alcazares the site for several palaces for holidays and to rest and re-opened the local Roman baths. Taking advantage of the warm shallow crystal clear theraputic waters of the beautiful Mar Menor ,rich in iodene ,salt and other minerals, giving relief for many ailments. Enjoying mud bathing as locals and visitors alike do today at Lo Pagan. Los Alcazares is renowned for it's water sports, long promenade and clean sandy beaches with occasional cafe bars ,restaurants and children's play areas. Visit the Isle of Perdiguera, or Arab fortress Torre del Rame and the huge twice weekly local markets. Theres plenty to do and see although a car is an advantage.

I have rented this apartment several times over the past few years, and find it suits our needs perfectly, It is always clean, and well equipped, there is even a cool bag, and folding chairs available. (we hire a car, and get out to the more remote parts of the area). It is a very short walk, on the flat, to good bars and all types of eating places, budget to alacarte. 3 supermarkets very close. the beach is a short stroll.and the apartment complex is very near the airport. (less than 10mins drive). The complex has lovely grounds and pools (very cold!!!). and Malc. and Lorraine keep all the communal areas spotless. We tend to go out of season, so there is not much night life, so no teenagers or hen parties.etc. but some of the bars do have quiz nights etc. Los Alcazares itself is a lovely old spanish town, and an excellant market on Tuesday, good local produce. Carthagena is only a short drive,( or 5Euros on the bus). the shops are great,and there is plenty to see (Roman walls, etc.).(Marina,). |

found booking the apartment a breeze, all questions were answered promptly and Geoff always responded straight away. The apartment was very clean, bright and airy. I really enjoyed my two week holiday, looking out over the pool and being so close to all the shops,restuarants and the beach ! All in all 10 out of 10. Thanks Geoff, I shall be returning. I booked this apartment for myself and also my sister-in-law who uses crutches. I knew we would not be walking too far and hoped that the complex would provide us with a good pool and somewhere nice to sit. It did and in spades.... We had the fabulous balcony looking out over the pool, but just far enough away so the noise was not a problem. Due to its excellent position the balcony is shaded part of the day when it gets too hot to sit in the sun. The apartment inside is really lovely, spacious, well equipped, quiet, safe, secure, comfortable and there is a lift from the ground floor up which is great for prams and for those not so able. The 2 pools were the icing on the cake. They were cleaned every day, are extremely large and had a ramp right into the pool for those not so nifty on their feet. I had a considerable brief in taking away a relative with limited fitness but this holiday ticked every box. She and I had a great time and being collected from and taken to the airport by an English resident was just so stress free. We also managed to walk to a fantastic Chinese restaurant called Chinos several times (6 euros for a 3 course meal with wine) and the a large supermarket and other restaurants were also near by. A great holiday thoroughly enjoyed by us both. |

Myself and my family have been fortunate to stay in this apartment 4 times now. It is well furnished and very comfortable, with a lovely balcony for an evening meal or that glass of wine while watching the sun setting.The balcony overlooks the pools which are illuminated at night. The complex is gated,offering additional security and privacy and is close to a number of restaurants catering for all tastes, plus bars and cafes.We can recommend "La Diva" great food , service and lovely ambience to name just one of many.

We found the Apt. well equipped and spacious for two of us and would easily accommodate four . The swimming pool area was very pleasant and no doubt great in the summertime. Los Alcazares was very pleasant with easy walking and some great eating places especially El Patio nearby (drinks were very reasonable) and the restaurant at "Oasis " Centre . We would certainly consider using your Apt. again.

"Easy Living"- Well appointed,well equipped and very clean apartment with good sized kitchen and large balcony overlooking pool and gardens.Pleasant 5 minute stroll to shops,bars and restaurants and only 15 mins level walk to the lovely sandy beach . Car not essential-All being well we'll be back !
