Our luxurious 2-bed, 2-bath apartment is on the exclusive, luxury 5* Roda Golf and Beach Resort is beautifully furnished with lots of little extras to make you feel at home.
The apartment is on Phase 2 and within easy walking distance of the golf course and club house. It is also within a few minutes drive of Los Alcazares and the Mar Menor beaches, which are gently shelving and really safe for kids.
The stylishly furnished apartment has full air conditioning, full central heating and electric security grills.
In the lounge, there is a 32" flat screen TV with satellite system plus a DVD player and large selection of DVDs for your use. There is also a hi-fi with over 50 CDs to listen to.
There's a HUGE, south facing terrace where you can relax in the sun or shade all day. Why not start the day with breakfast on the balcony at out large teak table or dine dine al fresco in the evening. At the end of the day it is the ideal place to put your feet up, maybe read a good book, have a glass of wine (or two) and generally relax as the sun goes down.
Not only is it great for golf, it's great for kids and great for just relaxing. Everything you need for a fantastic holiday.

In the lounge, there is comfy seating for up to 5 with a 32" flat screen TV with DVD player plus a CD/radio. With Satellite TV, so you don't miss your favourite programmes, plus CDs and DVDs to enjoy if you fancy a quiet night in.
The Master bedroom has an English king-size bed and a full en-suite bathroom, plus there is a twin-bedded room and separate family shower room. Both bedrooms have ample wardrobe and cupboard space.
The kitchen has everything you will need if you want to cook including stainless steel pans and lots of home touches.
There is real luxury in this apartment. Granite worktops, marble floors and marble tiled bathrooms make it special.
IT'S OUR HOLIDAY HOME TOO so we've added lots of things that you wouldn't normally expect to find in a holiday let. We have even put in Safety equipment including First Aid Kit, Fire Extinguisher, Fire Blanket, Smoke Detector, and Carbon Monoxide Detector.
PLEASE NOTE: We can accommodate a 5th person in the lounge on a Z-bed (fold-up bed) which is only suitable for children and small adults.

The building has a stylish, modern design and its comfortable surroundings will make sure it becomes a second home for visitors, and a place where people can meet, relax and enjoy themselves… whether you play golf or not.

We also have a broadband "Dongle" which works at good speeds and is available for hire.

Conditions
The prices quoted below are for 4 people sharing and include:
• Meet and Greet Service on arrival

• Late Arrival - There is a charge for arrivals after 21:00.
Payment Terms
• £100 per week deposit due to secure booking (non-refundable)
• £150 security bond required on booking. Refunded within 15 days of your departure (subject to inspection)
• Balance due eight weeks before your stay
We can accept payment in either pounds sterling or euro. Our primary method of payment is by Bank Transfer.
However, for convenience payment can be made by Credit/Debit card via Paypal - for which there is a fee payable.
Arrival/Departure
The property is available from 17:00 hours on arrival and should be vacated by 12:00 hours on the day of departure (local time) - although we will try to accommodate earlier arrivals and departures where possible.
Smoking
For the comfort of all our guests there is no smoking indoors - an ashtray is provided for you to smoke on the balcony.

The Los Alcazares / Roda Golf area
LOS ALCAZARES
The nearest town of Los Alcázares is 2km away with a range of shops, bars & restaurants. The promenade stretches for 8km, the local blue-flag beaches are fantastic having won the Q awards for excellence & safety. The beaches are dotted with "chiringuitos" - bars selling a variety of Tapas dishes, refreshments & local beer!
LOS NAREJOS
The nearest beach at Los Narejos is just 2 km from the resort. Gently shelving and really safe for kids. Apart from the height of Summer, the beach is usually quiet and is my personal favourite. The beach bars serve reasonably priced tapas, snacks and burgers. Start from here to walk the promenade all the way to the Yacht Club at the other end of Los Alcazares.
SANTIAGO DE LA RIBERA
The fishing village of Santiago de la Ribera is just 10 minutes drive away. It grew as a prime holiday destination for wealthy Murcians who built their houses along the coast. Santiago has a lovely promenade flanked by attractive palm trees. Today Santiago is still popular with the Spanish for their vacations but also attracts tourists from all over Europe and although it has a modern air, it has still maintained its ‘fishing village’ atmosphere. It has a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants.
Santiago de la Ribera boasts a popular water-sports centre and sailing club so with it's superb safe beaches, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, fishing, cycling, a sports centre, and scuba diving ..... It's a great place to visit .....
LO PAGAN
Lo Pagan, near San Pedro del Pinatar, is a 20 minute drive and a visit is a must to take in the famous mud baths which has been renowned from early times for its healing powers. Get dirty ... by applying the mud all over the body and then dry out in the sun before washing off in the salt waters. The kids will love it!
RODA GOLF RESORT
Roda Golf has recently become a PGA Academy and lessons are now available for children as well as adults. The course is becoming increasing popular with both professionals and amateurs alike. It has hosted many tournaments including a round of the PGA Championships, with competing golfers from all over Europe, and the Spanish Junior Open. In addition, the driving range and practice putting green are both proving to be great attractions.
The resort also has a beach club Located on the La Manga penisula, with beach access to the Mediterranean Sea. You can swim or try watersports in the warm ocean or relax by the swimming pool.
Although part of the resort there is an admission fee charged (approx €10 pp)

Fly to Murcia (San Javier) or Alicante Airport.
We're just 2 km from the AP7 at Junction 786 making access to both airports easy, being only 10 minutes from Murcia airport and less than 1 hour from Alicante airport.
All the major budget airlines fly to both of these airports.

Do I need to hire a car?
A car isn't essential as it is only a short, 10 minute taxi drive from San Javier Airport.
BUT ... we do advise it as it is a 2 km walk (20-30 minutes) to the nearest beach and to the bars and restaurants in Los Alcázares.

By Ferry / Car (from UK):
If you fancy extending your holiday then why not drive and see some of the interior of Spain.
Get the ferry to Bilbao or Santander and drive to Murcia. Start your holiday with a leisurely 2-day cruise, then drive to Roda. It can be done in 1 day, but why not stop off en route in Madrid.

I decided to take the children (age 12 and 11) for a just over a week at the end of the summer holidays. Having been to Murcia previously I was looking for a comfortable apartment with the ability to move about easily but with amenities on hand. Bev and Mike's apartment was perfect, extremely comfortable and clean with everything thought of, including a welcome pack with was a real bonus! Pool area cleaned daily and not busy, safe and secure for us and well worth a visit. We will definitely be returning soon! |

The apartment is close to the airport (10 mins by taxi). We were met at the Roda resort by the owners who took us to the apartment and showed us all of the facilities. The apartment is exceptionally well furnished and equipped (the only thing we could have asked for was a wi-fi connection to allow smartphones to access the internet and e-mail). It is set in lovely grounds overlooking a good sized swimming pool. A welcome back of bread, milk, water, fruit juice, beer and wine was a nice added touch. Tea, coffee and rice / pasta and spices were also available. Travelling in August, the weather in the Mar Menor is hot and humid so we spent most of the time poolside and on the local beach. Neither were ever overcrowded. Given the temperatute, the availability of air-conditioning in the apartment was a godsend. There are good transport links for car travel and bus links in the local town if you want to travel further afield. Without a car, you need to walk into the local town - best done when the temperature is cooler. The Roda golf course has a small mini-market for bread, milk, English papers and some fruit, veg, beers and wine. If you want anything more substantial, there is a wide range of supermarkets in Los Alcazares. In terms of eating out, the clubhouse has a very good restauarant where we ate most nights. There are also lots of restaurants in Los Alcarzares and in Roda Village. We did not discover any traditional Spanish restaurants nearby. As we did not use the golf course, we cannot comment on the facilities it offers but it is reputed to be one of the best in that part of Spain. |

a very good appartment on a great complex, it has everything that you need for your convinience inc dishwasher, beach towels & large balcony. This is the second time we have been here & our 1st time with a toddler, wud highly reccomend & would love to stay again in the future not busy & close to all local amenities in a short car ride (5 mins) |
