About the home

This well equipped Townhouse is on the beautiful El Divino fully gated complex in the Spanish town of Los Alcazares.The house is idealy located for local shops, bars and restaurants and a stroll to the golden sandy beaches of the Mar Menor.

This tastefully furnished family house which comfortably sleeps six and also has a travel cot and highchair, offers TV with British chanels a DVD player with a selection of DVDs and a Playsation 2 with a selection of games. Wi-Fi is available at the property at an additional cost.
The well equipped kitchen has a fridge freezer, microwave, oven and a dishwasher, with a washing machine and tumble dryer situated in the large bathroom upstairs.

Make use of the BBQ to enjoy the warm summer nights.

A private roof terrace with sun loungers is accessible from the master bedroom via the front balcony.
The complex offers residents the use of two communal pools within a gated area

Minimum bookings of 1 week during summer period (April - Oct), other days should be no problem during quieter periods depending on how booking diary is effected. Negotiable rates for longer lets in quiet periods - please contact us for details. £100 refundable damage/excess clean/loss of keys bond is also required with final payment, which will be repaid within 2 weeks on agents confirmation and return of keys. Full payment due immediately for late availability bookings (i.e. within 8 weeks of departure).

The Costa Calida region

Costa Calida (the warm coast) has 320 days of sunshine a year. With average temperatures of 18-24 degrees, it is an ideal area for walking or cycling holidays.

Within half an hour drive of Los Alcazares, there are nine golf courses two of which are of championship standard. There are many places to visit the salt flats of San Pedro del Pinatar with its flamingoes and mud baths and the Terra Mitica theme park is about an hour's drive away.

There is also the historical city of Cartagena and Murcia city. The resort of Torrevieja with its aqua park is within half an hour's drive.

A short drive to La Manga and the well known "Strip" as it is known is a must to see the Med on one side of the strip and the Mar Menor on the other side of this long narrow developed area with a multitude of shops and restaurants right on the waters edge.

A few miles out of town at San Javier is the large Dos Mares shopping complex which also has a variety of restaurants, a small bowling alley and a games area for youngsters.
The holiday can be as active or relaxing as you choose.

The Los Alcazares / Pueblo Patricia area

Los Alcazares is a typical Spanish town situated on the Mar Menor, a huge salt water lake, renowned for its therapeutic properties. There is a water sports centre on the promenade giving access to a range of activities from canoeing to para-sailing. The shallow waters and seven kilometres of blue flag beaches make it ideal for families with young children.

Cycle hire is also availble in the town. There are bars and restaurants around the town catering to all tastes from typical Spanish cuisine and Tapas, Indian, Chinese , Pizza's and burgers to a Sunday roast. Check the local Bodega where you can taste the wine straight from the barrels before you buy at really cheap prices. There is a local market twice weekly where you can pick up some great bargains.

A friendly post room( where english is spoken) is situated in the square of the town where a free newspaper can be collected on fridays. Internet access is also available as well as a hire car agency at this establishment.

“We had a fantastic time in Casadelmarj great house great service.” Just back after six great weeks in Casa del Marj. The house was very clean and well equipped. The keyholders Mandy and Kevin were only a phonecall away and were very helpful. The grandchildren had a ball.. great pool . And only a short stroll to the fantastic beach and restaurants and bars. We all had a very enjoyable holiday thank you Carol and Donny .

“Dissapointed” We were very let down with this property. We stayed in one a few doors away last September and had a great holiday. The roof terrace at Casa Delmarj had no shade, and there was 2 old damaged sun loungers on it. The other fold up sun beds were poor quality, 1 had a sharp piece of metal sticking out of it which was a Health & Safety Issue, the other 2 were falling to bits. The apartment sleep six people, the upper twin room was blowing hot air conditioning and the lower twin room only had a ceiling fan. The air con works with a 5 Euro Card and we ran out, we contacted the person running the property, they did not reply!!! Eventually after 2 hours of searching we managed to buy another one, the temperature was 95 degrees, so we would have struggled in our last 2 days without it. When we were lying on the grass around the pool (as we could not use the roof terrace) one of the residents asked us to lift our towels off the grass when we returned to the apartment for lunch as the grass was turning brown, he stalked us for 2 days,making us feel uncomfortable so we "threw in the towel" and went to the beach instead. Los Alcazares is a lovely place, we have visited it 10 times over the last 6 years, I have to say this is the worse apartment I have stayed in and will not book Casa Delmarj again. Response: I have been advised by Holiday Lettings to respond to this review. Firstly we are very sorry thet the guests were let down, in the last four years we have never had any kind of feed back like this. The guests said they stayed a few doors away last September and i would like to point out that there is a huge difference in temperature from July to September. We do not advertise that the house is fully air conditioned and the hot air conditioning unit mentioned is in fact a heater for guests in the winter. We also do not advertise that the sun terrace is covered. The fold up sun beds described as poor quality are only light beds for easy carrying to the pool etc anything more substantial would be to heavy to carry, these loungers are replaced yearly and the ones in question are only a month old. The sun loungers on the sun terrace have been replaced. The issue with the euro cards has been addressed with our key holder who is usually very accomodating and we are very sorry for this oversight. I must also point out that all guests are allocated a standard amount of cards for their stay and only have to purchase extra cards once they have used their quota, this is common proceedure to stop misuse of leaving the air con units on whilst not in the property. We cannot comment on the resident who requested that the towels were removed; only that we are very proud of the high standard of the complex and this can only be maintained if looked after by the guests and permanent residents. Finally we are very disapointed that these guests did not enjoy their stay at our lovely three bedroom house(not apartment). The cost for them of £83 per person in peak season is very competitive and over the last four years we have never failed to be fully booked with satsified guests.
