The Costa Calida/Murcia region
The Costa Calida is known as Spain's warm coast and more latterly as the Costa del Golf.
Beaches:
Numerous blue flag beaches, including those around La Manga, Caba Roig, Mar de Cristal, Los Narejos and Los Alcazares mostly are within a short drive, and ideally located around the calm warm waters of the Mar Menor and Mediterranean Sea.
Water Sports:
Several water sports centres operate along the coast line and La Manga, with kite surfing off the north part of Los Narejos beach being particulary popular.
Golf:
The Costa Calida is also known as the "Costa Del Golf". The area is a golfers paradise, with Roda Golf, La Serena, La Manga Golf and Country Club, La Torre and Polaris World Mar Menor, all within the immediate vicinity. There are also several more courses opening very soon.
Mountain Biking/Walking:
A short drive inland opens up opportunities to enjoy miles of unspoilt countryside.
Sightseeing/Cultural:
30 minutes to the north west lies the capital of the province, Murcia Town, with its history, culture, shopping and shaded streets, ideal for lunch on those hot midsummer days. 15 minutes south is the city of Cartagena, once a famous naval base, now a mix of vibrant old and new with a fantastic marina, and city walls encapsulating bustling streets of restaurants and designer shops.
Nightlife:
The area boasts every kind of nightlife from the bright lights of Torrievieja and La Manga to the al fresco dining and bars of Los Narejos and Los Alcazares.
Los Alcazares / La Puebla area
La Puebla has all the facilities you would expect in a small Spanish village, including a coffee shop, bakery, bar, bank, restaurant and even a small hardwear store. The church bells ring on the hour during the day, and the restored antique windmill is only a hundred metres or so away.
Los Alacazares on the other hand offers every kind of facility for a larger town with some fantastic eating places, some excellent nightlife, festivals and carnivals throughout the year, as well as a twice weekly local market selling everything from curtains to very fresh local vegetables.
How to get there
La Puebla is a very short and easy drive from Murcia Airport, and although car hire is cheap and plentiful through companies like Carjet and Holiday Autos, it is also inexpensive to use one of the many taxis outside the airport terminal. If required a meet and greet service can be organised, hence please make contact, if this is of interest. Also simple to follow directions can be provided with your booking confirmation.
Many of the lo-cost airlines fly directly into Murcia, from nearly all of the UK regional airports. Another option which is 55 mins drive away is to use Alicante Airport which is serviced by the lo-cost carriers as well as the likes of Tomson Fly, Thomas Cook etc.

Further details indoors: No.4 BB is, fully furnished and equipped to a very high standard. The accommodation is made up of 2 bedrooms each with built in wardrobes containing drawer space. Each bed has its own bedside locker with table lamp The main bedroom has a full bathroom en-suite. The lounge contains a sofa which easily converts into a full size double bed. The kitchen has all new white goods, cutlery, crockery and even the necessary pizza cutter..! Plastic crockery is also provided for children if so required. The lounge area, in addition to both bedrooms are fitted with ceiling fans for added comfort. High chairs and cots can be provided for a small additional cost.
Further details outdoors: Patio doors from the lounge and first bedroom lead straight onto the furnished south facing balcony with ample space for dining and/or sunbathing The external door leads directly across to the fantastic pool, with children's area and perfectly maintained gardens. At the rear of the complex there is a recreational area made up of, children's play area, french bowls court and park bench style seating. The complex has its own residential cleaner who can be seen almost on a daily basis keeping Hacienda La Puebla clean and tidy for residents and guests alike.
