The villa consists of a spacious terrace porch, tiled garden to the front, large balcony off the master bedroom and access to a spacious rooftop solarium. The villa has a large lounge and dining room area with fully equipped kitchen and downstairs bathroom. Upstairs there are two large fully furnished bedrooms with lots of wardrobe space and a second bathroom.

The villa has full sky satelite TV and ceiling fans throughout. Bed linen, duvet covers, blankets, towels are supplied with the exception of beach towels- guest must bring their own. All windows are double glazed and multi functional with security grids and mosquito blinds. Safety deposit box is available upon request with a charge which is refundable on departure. Contacts for hiring baby equipment can be supplied and arranged.

The villa has a lovely porch terrace dining area with tiled garden to the front and high railings offering security and privacy. The villa garden is supplied with garden furniture - table, chairs and sun loungers where you can relax, not overloooking the pools but within easy reach. There is also ample room for parking assigned to the villa complex.

The Costa Calida region

Los Alcazares is a typical Spanish town situated in the Murcia region of South Eastern Spain known as the Costa Calida on the shore of the Mar Menor which is a saltwater lagoon from the Mediterranean Sea. It is ideal for families as the golden beaches of Los Alcazares have been awarded the coveted blue flag of excellence and warm water of the Mar Menor makes bathing a delight. The beach at Los-alcazares offers ample provision of showers, toilets, play areas for children, first aid, rescue services and facilities for the disabled. There is a 7 km pedestrians tree-lined promenade with delightful beach bars, restaurants and hotels. The whole area is very flat and ideal for walking and cycling. The area has an average of 320 days of sunshine a year. There are numerous water sports to partake in i.e. sailing, scuba diving, water skiing, paragliding and many others. There are also numerous golf courses in the area, including the internationally renowned La Manga Club which has two championship courses and tennis courts

The Los Alcazares / Pueblo Patricia area

Los Alcazares is on the edge of the Mar Menor, a large inland sea, separated from the Mediterranean sea by the well known La Manga strip. The Mar Menor is a salt-water lagoon of 128 sq.km. with a sea temperature of 5 degrees above that of the Mediterranean. The area enjoys on average 320 days of sunshine per year. The coastal area is known as the Costa Calida which forms part of the Murcia region. The Arabs choose this marvellous beauty spot for their vacations and rest and reopened the ancient Roman spas that already existed in this area. They made good use of the excellent therapeutic properties of its waters and they were the ones who named LOS-ALCAZARES. The word "Alcazares" comes from Arabic (AL KAZAR) which means palace or mansion. There is a local ferry in summer that goes direct from Los-Alcazares beach to the La Manga Strip so that you can enjoy a day on the beach at La Manga. Go karting is available on the airport road from Los-Alcazares. Another local town that is worth a visit to is Santiago de la Ribera, which has a long promenade and beach that stretches 3 miles to Lo Pagan where locals and visitors alike enjoy mud bathing.There are markets in the local towns on different week days. Los-Alcazares has 2 markets, Saturday and Tuesday am. Throughout the year L9os Alcazares offers the visitor boundless opportunities for sports, festivals, daily local markets, outddor parties and shows with spectacular firework displays- there is always something happening! One day trips can be taken to other towns as Los Alcazares is an easy place to reach and there is a good road network. Walk or cycle along the 7km.of promenade lined with palm trees and enjoy the wonderful sea views and sea breeze. If you prefer fresh water activities, Los Alcazares has 4 swimming-pools, one of which is indoor. Within short walking distance of the Villa are numerous restaurants, El Pation II and La Roblemar are very Spanish offering good value for money serving traditional Spanish meat dishes, steaks, chicken and excellent variety of fish. Further restaurants and bars can be found in the Marcondona Shopping mall, along the beach promenade and throughout the town. You will be spoilt for choice!

Murcia (San Javier) airport is within 5 mins drive to the villa and has daily flights from numerous locations within the U.K. and Europe.
Alicante airport is less than a 50 minute drive away and also offers numerous flights from the U.K. and major European cities. Car hire is also available from various car hire companies at both airports but is not necessary for holidaying in the area.

We had an excellent time in your Duplex villa in Los-Alcazares and the location is superb. The villa was excellently maintained and we found Andrea (caretaker) very pleasant to deal with at all times. We found the restaurants/bars very good value and we enjoyed eating out and the BBQ as well.

We had a fantasstic time in your lovely Duplex villa. We were pleasant surprised with the vast amount of restaurants and bars available in the plaza strip. We regularly walked 10 minutes down to the beach and mixed this time sun bathing on your terrace and garden and complex pool, so we had great variety! The front terrace was a real sun trap and extremely private. We also enjoyed the lovely BBQ. The supermarket was only 5 mins walk and we had everything we could possible want during our stay. The little shop opposite El Patio IV had daily English Newspapers and fresh bread. There were lovely bars in Plaza Square and we had some fantastic meals in the restaurants there.

Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely villa. We had a fantastic holiday and Andrea (caretaker) was extremely helpful. We found beach and all amenities, supermarkets, bars and restaurants within walking distance which was so convenient.

Thank you for letting us stay in your Duplex villa in Pueblo Patricia, Los-alcazares. We loved the flexibility of the villa and we ate out most nights. The BBQ was great which we cooked on for 2 nights and gave us a break from restaurant food.

Hello Caroline.
Just to let you know we had a wonderful week in your villa. The weather wasn't great but we had 3 or 4 days of good sunshine which we headed for the beach. We hired bikes and cycled the prom 3 times! Ouch! but great fun and a fab way of seeing everything in a short space of time.
Andrea was lovely. She got us some essentials in as well as making a trip to the bodega too! We striped the beds and washed &dried the sheets and hovered round on the last day as we always like to leave things as we find them.
We had a few meals in but enjoyed a couple on the prom to - Terre Mare was very nice as i love to watch the sea. La Biancha - on the main road towards the church/town hall was very good value too. We ate in El Patio IV on Friday evening and had a great meal so thanks for that.
Your neighbours Roy and Angela were also very kind. We when to the quiz with them on Thursday night which was a bit of fun.

Once again thank you very much. I hope we may contact you again.

Hi Caroline

I just wanted to say thank you for letting us use your duplex, we had a great holiday, it was really hot though, apparently the hottest July they've had for years. The duplex is lovely and suited our needs perfectly and the complex is a nice friendly place.

We loved the long walks along the beach and Keith and I went down there most days. The Plaza(?) where the Mercadona is was really good for it's choice of restaurants/cafes. We had a really nice meal in Rosalinas Rooftop Restaurant on our last night and the Wok Buffet was quite good as well, further along the road.

Just to let you know, one of the plastic chairs broke so we replaced that, but we had one day when there was a really strong wind, (bit like a mini hurricane!) and it blew the glass ashtray off the table onto the floor outside and smashed it. We looked for another one but were unable to find one in the time we had left. I am happy to send you some money to replace it next time you go over if that's okay, please let me know how much.
