Home description
This is a first floor apartment within a development of villas and two storey apartments situated on and around a golf course. The apartment is fully air conditioned as well as warm air and radiator heating for the cooler seasons. It is serviced by a lift from the ground floor with easy level access to the pedestrianised walkways. The accommodation comprises one double bedroom and a second with two single beds, both with en-suite bathrooms and private terraces. The lounge settee can open out to provide an extra double bed. The lounge/diner has a large terrace accessed via a double sliding door with views of the pedestrianised area. A separate fully fitted kitchen with serving hatch leads off the dining area, from which there is access via a short corridor to the bedrooms. There are a number of swimming pools available for the use of the residents. within the enclosed development is an eighteen hole golf course with reduced fees for residents. The Private Beach Resort is open in the high season and is reached via a short ferry trip across the Mar Menor. There are many excellent resaurants to choose from in the surrounding area and there are a number of supermarkets all within 1.5 kM

The Costa Calida/Murcia region
Roda Beach & Golf Resort is a unique development located in the village of Roda, near Los Alcazares , Murcia, only 5 minutes from Murcia airport. The jewel of this region is the Mar Menor - Minor Sea. This is an all but enclosed sea separated from the Mediterranean by the 14 kM La Manga spit.
The resort is a wonderful development of over one million square metres and just 1.5 kilometres from the calm waters of the Mar Menor. The region of Murcia is famous for its beaches and coastline which extends to around 250 kilometres with many ports and coves. The sun shines on average 300 days per year with an average annual temperature of 21oC.
Los Alcazares / Roda Golf area
The resort is built around an excellent par 72 Golf Course designed by Dave Thomas, one of Europe's most prestigious golf course designers. The course has been designed to ensure total adaptation to the Mediterranean landscape and character. The range of facilities ensure that there is something for the whole family to enjoy enhanced by a secure controlled environment with traffic free pedestrianised areas.
Close by are the beaches of the Mar Menor, from as little as 1.5 kM. Activities there include sailing, kite surfing , fishing trips as well as safe bathing and beach relaxation. There is a sailing school and kite surfing school from which equipment may be hired.
There are many restaurants in the area, specialising in seafood and the Spanish Tapas meals as well as more standard fayre. Many restaurants offer English menus even though the area is most frequented by the Spaniards themselves.
Private Beach Club Located on the popular La Manga strip which divides the Mar Menor from the Mediterranean sea, this unique facility is for the exclusive use of owners and guests. The 4,200m2 site is wonderfully located in the Mar Menor with a 600m2 building which boasts facilities including restaurants, solarium, swimming pools, water sports, and direct access to a Mediterranean beach and is accessed by boat across the Mar Menor. The Beach Club is managed by the De Vere Hotels Group.
The resorts of Torrevieja and Alicante are 30 and 80 kM along the coast, while the city of Murcia is 30 kM inland located in a fold of the hills. The city of Granada with the famous Al Hambra Palace and the ski resort and mountains of the Sierra Nevada are some 200 kM North West. The road network is fast and with light traffic making access to these areas relatively easy.
How to get there
Roda Golf and Beach Resort is in the Spanish District of Murcia, the delightful Costa Calida - the warm coast. and is very popular with the Spanish as well as North Europeans.
• Fly to Murcia airport - Roda is just 3 km from the airport. • Cheap flights available from Easyjet (www.easyjet.com) flying from Gatwick airport, Ryan air (www.ryanair.com) from Stanstead, Flybe (www.Flybe.com) from Eastleigh and Birmingham, etc. • Car hire is available at the airport including: Budget Car (www.budget.co), Europe Car. Cars may also be pre-booked with the flight, e.g Easyjet. • There are always local taxis available, price airport to apartment Euro 15 – taxi rank at the airport. .
For your stay a hire car is not essential though useful. There is a private bus service from the golf club to the beach at Santiago de la Ribera which links to the ferry point, but currently this only runs in the high season.

The apartment is new and in pristine condition. There are 70 TV channels available, 33 of which are digital. There are 5 English channels. Maid service for laundry and cleaning is provided once per week. All bedding linen and towels are available. Guests must provide their own beach towels.
Conditions
20% deposit on booking, full amount at least 6 weeks prior to departure. There is a refundable deposit of £150 required to cover any damage/breakages.
