About the home
Our villa is located on a small urbanisation with a private position overlooking open farmland. Access to the shared pool is via the gated garden and is only a couple of meters from the villa.
The front garden has a wonderful lemon tree offering welcome shade in the afternoon and a 55 sq.m. rooftop terrace which is not overlooked for the sun worshippers. There is a table and chairs for 6 on the terrace so you can enjoy the wonderful views. Parking is adjacent to the private garden on a quiet road.
The villa has all the advantages of being close to amenities including numerous restaurants, bars and shops. It is also close to the Mar Menor, with its golden sandy beaches and shallow warm waters. The palm lined promenade stretches for 7km and is ideal for children and parents to holiday. The Mar Menor is Europe's largest saltwater lake rich in minerals and a temperature of 5 dergees above the Mediterranean.

The villa has been newly decorated and furnished. We have carefully selected luxurious egyptian cotton for the bedding and towels. The lounge has 2 leather sofas and a leather tub chair so that you can sit in comfort and watch the flat screen TV.
The villa is spacious and has a newly tiled roof terrace with sun longers and a table and chairs for 6. The terrace is gated to make it safer for children. There is also a gated garden outside with lots of plants and a lemon tree. Great for a bit of afternoon shade or for a gin and tonic.
Parking is adjacent to the garden and apart from 2 steps to the front door there are no stairs.

There is a table and chairs in the garden to enjoy breakfast or lunch and BBQ is you wish to eat al fresco.
There is also an outdoor line, iron and ironiing board.

Guests are asked to make a key deposit which is returned at the end of their holiday.

The Costa Calida region
Los Alcazares is in the Murcia region in south-eastern Spain, which is also called the Costa Calida. The town lies on the western shore of the Mar Menor, Europe's largest saltwater lake. This region has on average 320 days of sun per year.
All along the Mar Menor you can find restaurants serving meals, drinks and tapas as well as providing fantastic entertainment in the summer evenings. The warmer water of the Mar Menor is ideal for swimmers and watersports enthusiasts providing wind sufing and clear water. The Mar Menor is renowned for its health-giving properties as it is rich in minerals and the town has thermal baths which were built in Roman times.
There is a good motorway network and airport less than 5km away, with flights to and from many UK airports.
The Los Alcazares / Pueblo Patricia area
There are sports and other activities available all year. There are more than eight golf courses a short drive from the town. In October there is a week-long outdoor party with live music and shows and spectacular firework displays. In Los Alcazares the last three days in March there is a medieval market with bands, amusements and stalls to pass the evenings away. The last two weeks in August, there is a celebration of La Huerta with firework displays and parade creating a carnival atmosphere.

Flights operate from the following UK airports Belfast, Blackpool, Birmingham, Bristol, Dublin, Edinburugh, Gatwick, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, Luton, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, Stanstead, Southampton. We stayed in this villa last year, this year, and have rebooked for next year! It is very comfortable and clean, with very private garden and roof terrace. Lovely clean, small complex, not too close to the hustle and bustle, but close enough to walk to the main restaurant area and beautiful beaches and a short walk to 4 supermarkets. Los Alcazares has everything for the whole family, but don't expect foam parties and lots of English bars. though there are a few, and nearly all the staff during the summer speak English. Threre are a couple of nightclubs for the teenagers and many different restaurants, but not many shops, however there is a market and fun fair on every evening near the Lidl supermarket, and main day market every Tuesday . But for further retail therapy, take a bus to Cartagena or Murcia (around 3Euros each) which picks up from next to the Consum supermarket. Both cities have great shopping areas and are steeped in history. The tourist information has full details. Prepare to relax and enjoy your holiday in a safe beautiful seaside town, where the Mar Menor helps take the edge of the hot summer sunshine! |
