Lovely 2nd floor two bedroom apartment, light, airy and tastefully furnished, a really delightful and comfortable holiday home.The beds are very comfortable with all linen provided and the lounge is lovely place to relax with a sofa and a reclining easy chair. It is very well equipped to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

The apartment block is served by two lifts to all floors.

It situated in a wonderful complex in Los Alcazares with two excellent pools and within easy walking distance to the shops, restaurants and safe Blue Flag beaches with palm - tree lined promenades.

The outlook from the balcony is lovely overlooking fields and distant hills making it very private..

On arrival you will be welcomed by our key holder and shown to the apartment. You will find English tea and coffee available and a further welcome pack can be arranged on request.

The apartment is tastefully furnished and all bedding and towels are provided, including beach towels to save taking up your luggage space!

The lounge, which has a ceiling fan, has a double sofa bed and a reclining matching easy chair . The bedding for the sofa bed is stored in an attractive blanket chest at the side of the sofa.

Dining seating for four and lounge seating for five, plus the chairs and table on the balcony.

A cot and a high chair can be made available on request - please mention when booking.

The recently installed air conditioning can be either warm or cold. It heats the apartment on cool evenings out of season and provides a cooling flow of air during the summer months. This is especially welcome on very hot summer nights.

The English satellite TV enables you to keep up to date with your regular programmes and news from your local area.

There is a selection of DVDs to suit different tastes, some of which are especially suitable for children .

The CD player can provide backgound music while you enjoy your evening meal,either using our cd selection or your own favourites.

Should there be nothing suitable on tv there is a PS2 player with games which can keep the youngsters occupied while you get ready for that special evening out.

There is a selection of fiction books in the lounge and folders of information regarding the local area and other places a bit further afield. These folders also contain street plans of Los Alcazares, bus time tables and maps of the south eastern Spain area.

From the lounge, going through patio doors to the front balcony, which has modern garden style dining and relaxing furniture, is a lovely view over fields and hills. This is very quiet and private, not being overlooked at all. It is west facing, protected from the fierce sun in the middle of the day and is a lovely place to relax in the evening with a bottle of wine and views of beautiful sunsets.

The main bedroom has a super comfy double bed and two bedside cabinets with lamps giving a lovely cosy glow in the evenings. It has floor to ceiling patio style windows overlooking the fields and hills making the room beautifully light,

The second bedroom has two comfy single beds and a shared bedside cabinet and lamp Both bedrooms have ceiling fans and fitted wardrobes with ample hanging and storage space .

under these beds are storage boxes of the beach towels and another of beach toys

The fully fitted bathroom is beautifully tiled and comprises a bath with a shower fitting over, a WC, bidet , wash basin with storage cupboard beneath and large mirror over it.. It has a heated towel rail.

The kitchen is a separate room having ample fitted cupboards, an oven, ceramic hob with extractor hood over, microwave, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster and iron. It has a modern feel to it and is well equipped with crockery, cutlery, saucepans, baking trays and serving dishes.

There is a washing machine and a dryer in the rear balcony ( the galleria) where there are also lines for drying and airing clothes.

***FABULOUS LOCATION!! ***

Only five minutes walk to shops/bars restaurants and only a little further to the beach. Level walking - no hills or even slopes! Beautiful sandy beaches with many beach bars with sun beds and parasols. A slightly longer walk along the promenade will take you to the older Spanish town of Los Alcazares.

The apartment is part of a gated complex of three storey apartments, duplexes and houses and is very attractive because of the variety of types of properties. It has a balcony which overlooks fields and distant hills and a rear balcony for domestic use.

You can access the apartment from the front entrance either by stairs or by using the lift.

The complex has two pools, one small one for children and one swimming pool with ample places for sunbathing. During the high season there is a life guard on duty at the pool.

The surrounding area is grassed with some palm trees for shade and pretty gardens. There are several pedestrian exits from the communal gardens going out on to different streets.

There is a secure surface car-park within the complex allowing car parking just outside the main entrance to the apartments. This apartment also has a private undergound car parking space which is secure and shady.

Only ten minutes from Murcia (San Javier) airport by car. Airport transfers can be arranged . Plenty of taxis at airport.

The Costa Calida region

Costa Calida means 'warm coast ' and with the region having an average of 320 days of sunshine each year the mild climate is a major attraction. The city of Murcia, 30 minutes by car, is steeped in history and has many squares and narrow streets of shops and is an intriguing place to visit. It also has a more modern aspect in that it is home to a fantastic Harley Davidson dealership!

The Roman city of Cartagena is a magnificent port which hosts many fiestas and is also steeped in history. It has a lovely shopping centre and a new large retail park on the outskirts.

The Calblanque Nature Reserve is situated on the Mediterranean coast and has superb golden beaches. Cabo de Palos is on the southern tip of La Manga and is famous for its fishing harbour and fish restaurants. Scuba diving trips can be taken here.

Torrevieja is another attrractive city only twenty minutes away with lovely squares and a port which has recently been enlarged and modernised.

Los Alcazares

Los Alcazares (pronounced los- alkatha-rez), is situated on the western shore of the Mar Menor, a shallow salt-water lagoon separated from the Mediterranean by a 22km strip of land known as La Manga.

The Mar Menor is renowned for its health giving mineral-rich waters, which being warm and shallow are perfect for bathers and water sport enthusiasts. It has 7 km of wonderful palm-tree lined promenades with several blue flag sandy beaches and many tapas bars along the beach fronts giving it a real Spanish flavour. A ferry will take you on a half hour cruise across the Mar Menor to the La Manga strip.

The old town is typically Spanish, reflecting its previous existence as a fishing village, while the new Baliniero square, only five minutes walk from the apartment, has a modern supermarket, shops, hairdressers, a bicycle hire shop and many eating places.

There are 9 golf courses within a 15 minute drive and the new Roda Golf 18 hole course is only two minutes drive away over the motorway as is the new Municipal golf course. There are championship courses at La Manga, about 20 minutes drive away.

The area is very level making it ideal for walking and cycling. It is only 2km away from the motorway giving easy access to all the Murcia region, including La Manga, the Calblanque Nature reserve and the green hilly region around the city of Murcia.

Tuesdays and Saturdays are markets days in Los Alcazares where many bargains are to be found and fresh produce from the fertile local countryside.

"Brilliant"

This apartment was brilliant, the complex fantastic and the pool area gorgeous, we had a great two weeks and both the owner and her contacts on site were so helpful. You lacked for nothing in the apartment, from plenty of towels, crockery, glassware, washing machine, tumble dryer and even cleaning products, it was all provided. The location of this apartment is also ideal, very central and only a 5 min walk to the main strip, where you are totally spoiled for the choice of restaurants or bars, it really is a great place to stay.

"Lovely apartment and great location"

Lovely apartment, great location close to restaurants, beach and shops. the apartment supplied everything even down to beach towels which saves on luggage costs!, and beach and pool floats and chairs also supplied. Directions easy to follow from airport and Pam was there to meet us with keys and to show us around. The apartment had lots of information on what to do in the area if you have the energy, and the bus transport is good so there is no need for a car, I can recommend this apartment my kids ages are 9,12 and 14 and all could be entertained and there is a good choice of restaurants and not expensive, will be back again Thanks Pam

"Lovely Holiday"

We have just returned from a lovely holiday in Pam's well equiped comfortable apartment. We found the apartment extremely clean and the cooling fans and air conditioning were very welcome on the extremely hot days/nights. We had a few problems with the air con but these were quickly put right by contacting the key holder Lesley who lives on site and can be texted with any problems, she's a very helpful lady. The balcony faces the back of the complex overlooking fields and is very peaceful. The extras like beach towels, deck chairs, parasol, safe box, huge TV & PS2 were much appreciated. The communal pool was great and really clean and supervised by a lifeguard -it's open from about 8am-10pm which the kids loved and the apartment was well positioned being about a 5-10 minute easy walk to the town centre restaurants, bars and supermarket and about 15 minutes to the lovely beach, miles long and very shallow, but, being a lagoon, no waves. All in all a great apartment and we had a lovely family holiday. We took the taxi boat to La Manga beach to play in the waves a couple of times, the Med is crystal clear and the beach there is gorgeous. It's 5 Euros pp each way though so not cheap and recommend you take your own umbrella as there is no shade.

"Great Apartment = Great Holiday!"

We have just returned from a lovely week staying at Pam's apartment. The apartment is extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need to enjoy a self-catering holiday. It was clean and well furnished and provided a completely safe and comfortable environment for us and our young daughter (age 3). Apartment has air conditioning and huge TV with English channels (including CBeebies!) The whole complex is clean and maintained to a very high standard and the pool was a delight. Pam provided us with lots of useful and helpful information ahead of our stay. Albatros Residential is ideally siutated for bars, restaurants, supermarkets and beaches whether or not you hire a car. There is so much to see and do in this area that I think we barely scratched the surface The beach is absolutely stunning with its extensive promenade and shallow, warm waters. We enjoyed glorious sunny weather throughout our stay. We would happily recommend this apartment to anyone and very much look forward to returning again in the not too distant future!

"Great location and extremely well equipped"

Pam has made sure that every item needed for a very comfortable self-catering stay in Los Alcazares is provided, even down to a selection of quilt weights should you be staying out of the peak summer months. The quality of the kitchen equipment, bathroom towels and furnture is excellent. Beach towels are also provided. We visted out of peak season and so the English TV was great in the evenings and of course on Saturday afternoon to get the footy scores.

For those that know Los Alcazares this apartment is about a 5 minute level walk north of the Mercadona supermarket. The location is quiet and within a two minute walk is a good bar/pub called The Garden, which is ideal if you don't want to head to the main square. For those that don't know Los Alcazares, I really recommend you give it a try. The beach area is great and there are two distinct town areas; one with a selection of English speaking bars/restauarants and the a other traditional Spanish town. Both provide fantastic value for drinks and meals and with the numerous supermarket options it is easy to properly self-cater.

Buses run to Murcia and Cartegena if you want to do some sight-seeing and there's a ferry over to the La Manga strip in peak season. However, Los Alcazares is miles better than La Manga strip.

Pam's apartment is great choice for your stay in Los Alcazares.

"Lovely apartment, excellent location"

We had a lovely holiday thanks to Pam for letting us stay in her apartment. The apartment was lovely and clean and very well equipped. Excellent for the light traveller travelling by economy flight. The apartment has a beautiful view from the balcony, overlooking fields and mountains. A lovely way to spend and hour enjoying a glass of wine before going to dinner. There are many restaurants within walking distance from the apartment, very well located. It is also very near the beach (10 minutes walk). Also, supermarket is close by.

"A fabulous & comfortable apartment with lots of home comforts to make for a relaxing stay"

We had a very happy stay in the apartment in July/August 2011. Booking was very easy and the information sent through by Pam before our holiday was informative & useful and she was helpful in organising transfers to and from the airport. We were met on arrival by Stuart who showed us to the apartment and explained all we needed to know. We found the apartment extremely clean on arrival and the air conditioning was very welcome on the hot days/nights. The extra things available such as beach towels & toys, parasols & DVD's came in very handy. The communal pool was great and really clean and the apartment was well positioned being about a 10 minute easy walk to the town centre restaurants, bars and supermarket and about 15 minutes to the beach. All in all a great apartment and we had a fantastic family holiday.
