Home description

The apartment is located 15 minutes walk from the lovely sandy beach of Los Alcazares, and a short walk to the shops, bars and restaurants. It is situated in a small, friendly complex with beautiful gardens.

The comfortable, tastefully furnished lounge and dining area has a DVD player and Sky TV with numerous British channels. The well equipped kitchen has a fridge freezer, microwave, touch control ceramic hob, oven and washing machine. There are ceiling fans in the lounge and bedrooms. There is access to the large, private roof terrace from the balcony, which is an ideal place to relax and sunbathe, or even enjoy a glass of wine while overlooking the attractive gardens. The communal pool and separate children's pool are close to the apartment, making it ideal for families.

There are many golf courses in the area, with two (La Serena and Roda) within 5 minutes drive. The location of the apartment makes it ideal for couples, families and golfers.

A guest "Welcome Book" full of information about the local and surrounding areas, ideas for days and nights out, and useful information regarding facilities in the apartment is available for you to study at your leisure.

The Costa Calida/Murcia region

The Costa Calida means 'warm coast' and with an average of 320 days of sunshine a year, along with the mild temperatures, it is a very popular destination.

The cultural city of Murcia is a 30 minute drive away, and well worth a visit. The city is steeped in history, and there is plenty to see amongst the plazas, shop lined streets, and the amazing cathedral. There is also a large new shopping complex, with bowling alley and even Ikea!

The Roman city of Cartagena, 20 minutes south by car, is also a fascinating place to visit . Cartegena has a magnificent port, and many other sights to see, such as the Roman theatre, and Castilla de la Concepcion (with fantastic views over the harbour).

The Calblanque Nature Reserve is situated on the Mediterranean coast, and has superb, peaceful beaches.

There is a waterpark for the young at heart in Torrevieja (30 minutes by car).

Los Alcazares / Pueblo Patricia area

The popular town of Los Alcazares is situated on the shores of the Mar Menor, a large saltwater lagoon, renowned for its therapeutic properties. The warm, shallow water and long stretch of sandy beach, makes it ideal for families and sun worshippers alike. The tree lined promenade is a great place to stroll along and boasts many tapas bars and cafes.

For those wanting to be a little more energetic, there is cycle hire available in the town, as well as tennis, Go Karts, and pedaloes. The Mar Menor is perfect for windsurfing, sailing, canoeing and kite-surfing.

As well as shops, banks and bars, there are a wide range of restaurants to choose from within a short walk from the apartment. These include superb English, Spanish, Chinese and Indian. There are street market s held on a regular basis in the old part of Los Alcazares, providing a great opportunity to pick up a bargain.

For golfers, there are two 18 hole championship golf courses (La Serena and Roda) within 5 minutes drive. A further 20 minutes drive, you will find Mosa Trajectum (27 holes), La Torre (18 holes), Torre Pacheco (9 holes), Mar Menor (9 holes), and the world renowned 3 courses at La Manga Club.

Murcia / San Javier Airport is a 10 minute drive away from the apartment either by taxi or via car hire. Low cost flights are available from most UK airports to Murcia San Javier, with great savings to be made if you book early. Alternatively Alicante airport is approximately 50 minutes away. There are plenty of car hire companies and taxis at both airports. Directions to the apartment will be sent to you prior to your departure.

Guestbook for Pueblo Patricia

We had a most relaxing and enjoyable holiday in the quiet but well appointed and equipped apartment.
The Abril complex is a pleasant 10 minute walk from the main resaurant/bar/shopping complex and
a further 5 minutes or so to the lovely sandy beach and the warm waters of the Mar Manor,
or if the beach is not your thing then there is the roof terrace for sunbathing and good sized pool for
cooling off. A fabulous area of Spain still unspoilt by commercialism and one to which we will return.
