If you are looking for a tranquil setting, then you need look no further. The Roda resort has everything you could wish for to make your holiday one to remember. The position and orientation of the house guarantees all-day sun.
We offer a secure lock up garage (shared with our neighbour) suitable for storing motor bikes, cars or cycles.
Our communal pool is only 30 mtrs from the house. The club house and sports' areas are very close to the house, as is the entrance gate. Beach towels are supplied, so save on your luggage. After the day's activities, treat yourself to a nice glass of wine, relax on the terrace and watch the sun go down.
There are two bedrooms in the house with three balconies, one bathroom, one shower room, open plan sitting/dining room, kitchen, utility room and plenty of storage. The terrace outside has a dining area for six and a sunbathing area. You can alsouse the large garden at the side of the house for your sunbathing or dining. Ball games are not permitted, but you are welcome to play with the badminton set here.

The house is elevated by 1.6 mtrs aprox, bordered with plants, so it is therefore unsuitable for very young children of walking age. Infants are very welcome.

The Costa Calida region
The region of Murcia is large and full of exciting places to visit, steeped in history and plenty to do for those who are active beyond the swimming pool. At whatever level you play, be it in golf, water sports, walking or cycling you will find that your needs are met. There are forgiving golf courses to championship courses, the safe water of the salt water lagoon (ideal for children) to the more challenging waters of the mediterranean. There are numerous water sports facilities within this area such as scuba diving, sailing etc. The flat coastline is great for casual walkers and cyclists, and there are lots of areas for the more adventurous traveller to explore in the hills and mountains. The average temperature year round is aprox 20degrees centigrade. The coast line, known as the Costa Calida (warm coast), because of the amount of sunshine days per year in comparison to other regions, stretches for 250km.
MURCIA CITY, the capitol was established in 825AD by the Moors. It is 40 minutes by car on a superb new motorway, through the mountains that act as a backdrop to the coast. It boasts many beautiful historic buildings, museums, Botanic Gardens, great shopping, restaurants and of course, the exciting festivals which are a must.
LOS ALCAZARES/LOS NARAJOS
On the coast and nearest to Roda there is everything you would want for the perfect holiday; beautiful blue flag beach, a long tree- lined promanade with a multitude of restaurants, bars, water sports activities/ tuition, fishing, walking, cycling, boat rentals. At the north end of the promenade you can walk on elevated boardwalks through a nature reserve. Just a few hundred metres off the beach you will find tennis and football facilities, a civic centre, markets heaving with fresh fruit, vegetables, clothes etc. Stroll into the centre of the town near the lovely church square you will be spoilt with the choice of Spanish restaurants, local bodegas which sell remarkably good wines from the casket for €1.50 a litre. Taste as many as you like until you find one that suits your palate.
You have to go! 25 km on the motorway and you are in one of my favourite cities. This is Spain's oldest port. The city was established in 227BC and you will see the evidence clearly. Ancient historic buildings and archaeological sites, such as the Roman ampitheatre, are juxtaposed with Art Nouveau and contemporary additions on the elevated fortress walls. Below, you can look down on the beautifully restored port which houses the naval yards, the private marina, a choice of bars and restaurants, museums and beautiful art works.
CABO DE PALOS
A traditional fishing village with a terrific choice of restaurants. Go up to the lighthouse and look out over the cliffs. This is where you do your scuba diving in a Marine reserve, or watch and hold your breath as the brave (or foolish) jump off the cliffs into the crashing waves. They do this for fun!
MAR MENORE PENINSULA
Continue on around the peninsula and drive to the end and you will come across the Roda Beach Club. Wow! will be your reaction. Spend as much time as you want there (you will get the details from the Club House on Roda). This fully restored unique building, it is said, was once Franco's family holiday home and was also used in a James Bond movie. I haven't been able to find any information on the net yet! Can anyone out there dispute or verify this?

The Los Alcazares / Roda Golf area
The Roda Beach and Golf Club is a par 72 and is the home of the PGA Academy. The Club House has a lovely restaurant and bar, a roof terrace with music in the summer, wifi and a golf shop. There are tennis courts, a paddle tennis court, basketball court and a football pitch available. There is a putting green and a driving range to hone your skills. The resort was designed with all the houses and apartments surrounding the course. No building is higher than three floors and the scented landscaping is beautiful. Take a walk at night and smell the herbs and flowers. The Roda village is 5 minutes up the road where you will find a Spanish tapas bar in the community centre, and across the road, a restaurant and bar beside the lovely old church. Going towards town you will find supermarkets and the start of the many places to wine and dine. The beach is just over a kilometre away . If you like walking you will find most places within reach. Taxis are very inexpensive and easily available by the exit. For the energetic there are bicycles for hire inside the gates of the resort and the town. Information on bus services are in the house or you can get a timetable in the tourist office in the square.

I would recommend this 2 bed house for comfort and facilities. It is in immaculate condition and will make your stay very enjoyable. It has the nearby town of Los Alcazars only a 5 min taxi ride away and is within a 10 min walk to the golf club-house and Campbells Irish pub.
It had room service through-out the week we were there plus a very comfertable living room for all to relax in. I couldnt believe the estate is only 6 years old, everything looked so mature.
With the security on the entrance, its a very safe and peaceful place for a stay.

My girlfriend and I stayed in Sunset View during the first two weeks of 2012 and it was a fantastic experience. The house is beautiful both inside and out. I especially liked the personal touches that the owners have added, including the numerous works of arts that feature throughout the house. It really felt like we were living in place that people had put time and care into decorating. The surrounding area is gorgeous and we spent a lot of time out by the communal pool. We did not rent a car this time around but since the house comes with a garage it would definitely be an option in future.
We usually grabbed a taxi and headed into the town at night but, if we did not feel up to traveling, the clubhouse was no more than few minutes' walk away and we both thought that the food and drink were excellent. I don't have much interest in golf, so the fact that the golf course was literally a stone's throw from the swimming pool did not impress me as much as it might others!
Overall I can't recommend this place highly enough and we will definitely be returning here in the near future.
