About the home

This lovely first floor apartment with lift access and communal swimming pool is in Los Alcazares , five minutes from Murcia airport, on the beautiful Mar Menor and has a light, airy feel throughout. The comfortable lounge and dining area is tastefully furnished . Both bedrooms have two single beds and there is a double sofa bed in the lounge. The well equipped kitchen has a ceramic hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The bathroom has a bath and a shower and marble topped vanity unit. Towels and linen are provided. The furnished balcony is secluded and with views towards the mountains is ideal for al fresco dining. There are a number of bars and resturaunts nearby and the beach is within easy walking distance.

There is a hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Sky TV has thirty five channels including BBC, ITV, Channel Four, Movie channel and Sports channel. There are cards, dominoes and books available for the use of guests.

The balcony is furnished with a glass topped table and four chairs and the pool is set in beautiful landscaped gardens with a children's splash pool and water features with seating areas.

A deposit of £100.00 against breakages and excessive cleaning is required with the the balance of your holiday payment and will be refunded subject to satisfactory property inspection.

The Costa Calida region

Costa Calida (the warm coast) has 320 days of sunshine a year. with average temperatures of 18-24 degrees. It is a very flat area making it ideal for walking or cycling holidays. there are nine golf courses within half an hours drive of Los Alcazares, two of which are of championship standard. La Manga and Polaris World are within easy reach. There are many places of interest to visit including the historical city of Cartagena, Murcia city, the salt flats at San Pedro del Pinatar with it's flamingoes and mud baths and the Terra Mitica theme park is about an hour's drive away. The resort of Torrevieja with its aqua park is within half an hour's drive. A new water park and zoo, Aqua Natura/Terra Natura is now open in Murcia and is definitely worth a visit. The zoo, Terra Natura is based on the Masai Mara game reserve in Africa and houses Lions, Hippos, Girraffes and bears to name but a few. It is very reasonably priced at 29.90 for adults and 23.90 for children and this includes entry to both parks, loungers and parasols and lunch. A great day out for all the family.

The Los Alcazares / Los Narejos area

Los Alcazares is a typical Spanish town situated on the Mar Menor, a salt water lake, renowned for it's therapeutic properties. The shallow waters and seven kilometers of blue flag beaches make it ideal for families with young children. There is a water sports centre on the promenade giving access to a range of activities from canoeing to para-sailing, there is a go-Karting track and cycle hire is availble in the town. There are many bars and resturaunts aroung the town catering to all tastes from typical Spanish cuisine and Tapas, Indian, Chinese, Pizza's and burgers to a typical Sunday roast. Check out the local Bodega where you can taste the wine straight from the barrels before you buy at really cheap prices. There is a local market twice weekly where you can pick up some great bargains.

Fly to Murcia Los Alcazares is just five minutes from the airport or one hour from Alicante.
Cheap flights are available from various UK airports Ryanair, Jet2, Globespan and Easyjet.
Car hire is available from both airports.
Local taxis are available and usually cost ten euros from Murcia airport.
Pickups can be arranged from both airports .

“Home from Home in the Sun” Apartment is excellent, everything you need is there, all the facilites in the complex are first class as is the surrounding area, it's very central and close to all amenities, supermarkets if you prefer to eat in and excellent restaurants if you prefer to dine out. We had a wonderful holiday and cannot thank you enough for allowing us the use of your home in the sun, we will definitely be back - Thanks Again

I would just like to thank you both for allowing my wife and myself to rent your lovely flat in Los Alcazares, we really enjoyed our time there and it is a beautiful place, somewhere you can sit back and relax and let the world go by. I will be recommending your place to family and friends, I can give it no bigger compliment than saying to them that the flat and resort were superb and we have booked up to go back again in August. We had a fantastic holiday. The apartment was one of the best we have stayed in.The children thought the beach was great but loved the pool best! Kerry and Arthur.
