This Provencal property is set in spacious grounds amongst an olive grove and evergreen oaks, with a view towards the Alps and rolling hills of the Var. It is situated about 45 minutes from the sandy beaches of the Mediterranean with many water sports to choose from. St. Tropez is not far away offering an insight into life on the Cote d'Azur. There are a host of bars and restaurants to be found at very affordable prices.
The famous lake St. Croix adjoining the Gorges du Verdon known as the Grand Canyon of Europe is about 30 minutes away, where there is canoeing, hang gliding, water-skiing, walking and many more activities. There are also a number of golf courses, tennis courts and local spas nearby. Horse riding is also available.

Our apartment occupies most of the garden floor of the villa, it has its own private entrance with a patio and another patio with BBQ opening out into the olive grove and lovely views of the rolling hills of the Var.
From the entrance there is a large lounge/dining area, with a library, music center and TV. This leads to a well equipped kitchen with access to a terrace, a gas hob and electric oven, double sink unit, fridge, microwave etc There is an eating area and plenty of storage space.
From the kitchen is the single bedroom with wardrobe, and on to a hallway to the second twin-bedded room with fitted wardrobe/drawers and the third bedroom with a large double bed, leading out on to a large shaded patio where there is garden furniture i.e. lounging chairs.
From here another small hallway leads to the wet room (walk in shower) and a separate toilet, which adjoins the laundry facilities.
Beach towels are supplied for use at the pool.

The floodlit pool (12 x 6 m) with a deep end of 2.0 m and a shallow end of 1.0 m is surrounded by a large patio with plenty of sun loungers, garden tables and chairs and a Provencal BBQ with a patio for alfresco eating. The garden offers plenty of shaded areas, and for those of you who enjoy table tennis there is the table on a shaded terrace nearby.
There is a large parking area adjoining the villa, and a further space for the people who are renting the flat. All this is secure and private.
The owners live in a totally independent part of the villa with their dogs, who are enclosed in an area away from the house.

During the high season we generally take weekly lets, however on other months we would consider shorter lengths of stay. Please contact us for pricing.
Pets are not allowed.
Smoking is not permitted in the house.

Change over day normally Saturday. Departure before 10am; arrival after 4pm.
The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Var region


Our property is situated in the center of the Var, a region of rolling hills with terraced hillsides, lavender fields, vineyards and olives trees. We are about 40 minutes from the sandy beaches of the Cote D'Azur, and two hours from the ski slopes.
From the villa it takes twenty minutes to get to the A8 autoroute, where Aix-en-Provence, Marseilles (west) and Nice, Menton or Monaco (east) are easily accessible.
You can also join in with the life of St. Tropez which is 45 minutes by car, or you can take the ferry from St. Maxime to better view the coastline.
The climate is one of blue skies and sunshine, with hotter months being July and August, however in the Var we have a certain breeze making the temperatures more comfortable.
The Lorgues area
The village of Lorgues is flanked on both sides by two rivers where one can go fishing, and canoeing is available 5 kms away. This medieval Provencal village is divided into very pretty hamlets, where the houses are covered with wisteria and Virginia creeper, and are surrounded with an array of flowering plants. During the summer there are many festivals taking place including outdoor concerts, many museums to visit, and the famous abbaye du Thoronet dating back to 11th Century which is still used by the monks who live and work there.
The main avenue of Lorgues is very attractive, with its ancient plane trees giving plenty of shade for the colourful Tuesday market, the meeting place for all the locals to pass the time of day. There are many bars and restaurants to go to, including the internationally-famous truffle restaurant (Bruno's). In addition to all this the village boasts 12 wine chateaux plus its own wine co-operative and olive mill so you can go wine tasting to your heart's content!
There are many sports to choose from: tennis, golfing, horse-riding, kayaking and scuba diving; bicycles can also be hired from the village. If you prefer to relax, there are a number of local spas and our pool has shaded and sunny areas which offer peace and tranquility.

A 10% discount is offered for the second week if you book for two complete weeks starting on a Saturday.
25% of the total rental cost is required at the time of booking.
The balance is required 6 weeks before the start of a holiday. Should you have to cancel, refunds will only be considered if we can rent out the apartment for the exact time period you booked.
We also ask for a 150 pound sterling (or equivalent in euros) damage deposit which, in the case of no breakages or damage, will be returned to you at the end of your stay.
Should you require mid-week cleaning it is available at 20 Euros an hour.
Credit cards are not accepted.
