A 360 year old cottage and was the first house built in the village of Downderry, South East Cornwall. The Cottage was once owned by the Plymouth Gin Distillery.
It has since been converted into a single dwelling and over the last 10 years has been lovingly restored with all the original features including granite open fireplace, slate flooring and exposed beams being brought back to their former glory.
The Cottage is a luxury holiday cottage and has been photographed for use on numerous greeting cards and postcards. It is featured in the Pictorial View of Downderry history book and has won Downderry in bloom twice.
The Cottage features an outside terrace with BBQ area making alfresco dining easy and pleasurable.

The coastal village of Downderry is sandwiched between the beautiful coastline & beaches of Whitsand Bay & Seaton, Cornwall. To the left is Whitsand Bay & to the right is Seaton (the beaches adjoin).

Due to it's unique location it allows visitors to experience the friendliness of Downderry and it's residents The Cottage is within easy walking distance of all local amenities :- 200m to the Beach - 100m to the Post office and the local shop - 200m to the local Pub ( Inn on the Shore) - 200m to the Rosery Restaurant & Bistro 150m to the Doctors/Café & Takeaway.
The village of Seaton is ½ mile walk / drive away and offers many of the above amenities as well as beautiful country park walks / cycling paths.
Parking - There is a garage opposite for guests' use while staying at the Cottage.

Conditions
The Cottage is let from Friday to Fiday and sleeps 6 guests, keys are made available from 3.30pm onwards on the first day of your holiday and the property is to be vacated by 10.30am on the last day of your holiday. (Shorter breaks are available out of main season, subject to availability).
