Shrew's Nest is a cottage style property in a small complex of similar separately owned properties all benefitting from well maintained grounds surrounding them. This cosy and compact accommodation is based on one level and boasts open plan living quarters, comprising of kitchen, dining and lounge area, 2 bedrooms (1 double and 1 twin bedded room) and bathroom.
Outside there is a communal garden and patio area with outdoor tables and chairs surrounding the swimming pool (heated from May to October). This is a lovely area for relaxing and enjoying a convivial drink especially during and after a warm sunny day. This accommodation provides a cosy, clean and comfortable base and is tastefully furnished in a traditional style and is located in an enviable location. You are only approximately 2.5 miles from the quaint fishing village of Polperro and scenic fishing town of Looe. A must for anyone seeking a tranquil and relaxing holiday, where you are surrounded by natural countryside, and although tucked away and peaceful you are not isolated.

The West Country / Cornwall region
Cornwall with its dramatic coastline and romantic history has long held a place of special affection in the hearts of British holiday makers and foreign visitors alike. The rugged coastline and superb beaches combine to offer some of the most glorious scenery to be found in these islands.
Inland too the rugged moors and softer country lanes offer endless opportunities for further exploration and on those cloudier days the Eden Project, Falmouth National Maritime Museum and the Tate at St. Ives offer splendid under cover diversions.
The National Trust is also well represented in Cornwall with miles of unspoiled coastline and many fine houses and gardens open to the public. The many other gardens in Cornwall are a special delight in the spring when they provide a blaze of dramatic colours.
Looe area
The delightful town of Looe is easily reached by road and has the added advantage of being served by a pretty branch line connecting at Liskeard with the main London to Penzance line. Local bus services connect to Polperro and outlying villages and the city of Plymouth is also served by regular connections. Liskeard is the nearest point (about 8 miles) for connections with the National Express coach network. Local taxis are plentiful and inexpensive.
Also readily available are excellent water-sports facilities, fishing, diving, and boat hire, championship golf courses and pony trekking. For wet days the city of Plymouth is only a half hour away with Truro just about an hours drive. The north Cornish coast - Padstow, St.Ives etc can also be reached in about an hour.
How to get there
* By road: To South East Cornwall by road in minutes and miles.
From the western end of the M5 or A303 at Exeter, take the A38 via Plymouth and Saltash direct to Looe.
* By train: There are regular Intercity services from London (Paddington), the Midlands, Northern England and Scotland, stopping at Plymouth and Liskeard. A branch line operates between Liskeard and Looe. Contact Rail Services on 0345 484950
* By coach: There are direct National Express coach services from London, the South-East, North-East, Midlands and Yorkshire, to Plymouth and Liskeard and there is an extensive network of locally run bus services connecting with outlying villages, Polperro and Plymouth. Further details indoors: The bungalow is tastefully furnished in a traditional style. The kitchen diner and lounge with colour television & video is fully equipped to a high standard with quality crockery, cutlery, cooker, fridge & microwave. In fact everything you will need for a carefree holiday. The two bedrooms have a double bed and two singles respectively with comfortable sprung mattresses and duvets. The shower room has a walk-in shower, hand basin, flush toilet, heated towel rail, razor point and is fully tiled. The bungalow is double glazed and night storage heaters are installed which provides a good background heat. There are electric blankets on all beds and extra convector heaters to guarantee a warm, cosy stay any time of year. Bed linen is provided, you are required only to bring your personal towels and tea towels.
The bungalow has its own clothes airer, washing line, iron and ironing board. There is a laundry room with automatic washing machine and tumble drier for everyone to use on-site and the heated swimming pool (May to October) is free for all to enjoy.
Further details outdoors: Shrew's Nest is quietly located in a complex of ten similar properties all of which are owned separately. It has the added benefit of on site parking, an outside garden/patio area, and communal heated swimming pool (heated from May to October ).
On entering the complex, a level walk of about 20 yards there is a porch structure which houses a range of local information and a landline pay box telephone). There is a small 6in (15cm) curb step into the porch and there is also a 2.5in (6.5cm) plank in front of the curb to assist the step up. To reach No. 7, the path leads from the porch to the left for 20/25 paces and No. 7 is on the right. There is a small 5.5in (14cm) concrete step then a threshold step into the property is 5in (12.5cm).
There is a personal parking facility for holidaymakers staying at "Shrew's Nest" (marked No 7), approximately 50m level access away. Also there are spaces for external visitor car parking.

This property is suitable for mobile adults, young children and persons with impaired mobility, with assistance. The limited access space renders this property unsuitable but not impracticable for wheelchair users.
