Apartment | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 4
Located in West Looe, St Crispin is the middle flat of a converted house which dates back to the late 1890's. Uninterrupted views of the Harbour, East Looe, Beach and out to Sea can be seen from both bedrooms and the Large bay window in the Lounge. Set back from the main road, there is a secluded courtyard to the rear of the property which provides private access to the apartment.
Whether you are looking for a relaxing holiday watching the fishing boats heading off for the day or a beach holiday building sand castles and swimming in the sea or a more energetic holiday enjoying the amazing picturesque coastal walks, also there are many gardens and National Trust properties in the area plus The Eden Project is a short drive away. St Crispin is the perfect base.
The property has been completely refurbished (April 2013) with a new kitchen, bathroom, furniture and fittings.
St Crispin has a bright and airy lounge with a large Bay window, TV, DVD and Wi-Fi, plus Dining seating for 4 people.
Bedroom 1 has a king-size bed, wardrobe, bedside tables and chest of drawers. Bedroom 2 has twin beds, plus a wardrobe and bedside table.
The Apartment also has a new bathroom with separate toilet and a new kitchen with a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, cooker, hob and microwave.
Looe is built around an estuary which leads to the sea and most of the properties in West Looe are built on the hillside. The access to St Crispin is up a zig-zag slope from the road which leads round to steps at the back of the apartment to the main entrance. There are also steps up to Hannafore Lane which runs along the back of the house.
Unfortunately we don't have parking at the property, but there is free on street parking available on Hannafore Point or the Mill Pool Car Park is £30 a week (via RingGo) - both are a 10 min walk along the harbour. You can stop close to the property to unload/load.

The West Country region
With miles of Sandy Beaches, Rugged Coast lines, Historical Landmarks and Rolling countryside, Cornwall is the perfect place for a relaxing seaside break or an exploring adventurous holiday.
The wide open spaces and views for miles around create a calm environment to spend your holiday and the milder climate in the West Country, means that Spring starts earlier and Winter is shorter.
Throughout Cornwall there is a wide and varied selection of entertainment and activities including the Eden Project, National Trust Properties & Gardens, Golden Sandy Beaches for Surfing, Crealy & Flambards Theme Parks, the Monkey or Seal Sanctuary or Paradise Park.
Looe is a bustling Fishing town with a fantastic range of interesting shops & restaurants and local amenities. The Sandy Beach is the perfect location for entertaining adults & children, whilst there are many coastal walks leading to Polperro and beyond.
The Looe train station links you to the mainline station at Liskeard giving you direct access to the main Cornwall and Devon towns like Truro, Plymouth, Falmouth and Penzance; plus there are local buses to the surrounding villages and towns.
Many of the boats in the harbour are working fishing vessels which you can take a trip on for a few hours or the Glass Bottom takes you around Looe Island to see the underwater world.
St Georges Island or 'Looe Island' is a Nature Sanctuary run by Cornwall Wildlife Trust which can be visited in the summer months by boat from the Harbour.

"Good Location. Lovely Unit"
The unit was spacious, comfortable and had everything one could require (except a clothes dryer)!. The unit has been modernised and has fantastic automatic heating which suited our needs perfectlyl (as we were out each day and the heating came on morning and evening). The view from the window was fantastic. Only down side walking suitcases up the hill and no close parking. We parked the car 10 min walk away. The parking issue was notified when we paid but it was a bit of an effort to walk the cases up a reasonably steep walkway. Wouldn't recommend this if you having any issue with steep walkways

Louise has done a lovely job of creating a bright, light, seaside haven. The apartment is beautiful and the views are magnificent. Very comfortable beds, too!
We enjoyed ourselves immensely and found Louise and Paul, the local caretaker, to be very responsive and accommodating.
We found an easier path up to the apartment than the one on the map-- use the path just past the church (on the opposite side of the road from the church) if you have lots of bags to carry up. If not, the steeper path from beside the firehall is good exercise and offers great views.
Thank you so much, Louise, for opening your beautiful vacation home. We feel so lucky to have been able to rent it!

"Stunning location and spotless apartment"
The apartment has almost the perfect spot in Looe - overlooking the harbour and river, and with magnificent views out to sea. You could spend all day standing in the bay window taking in the sights and watching the boats - and the night time view with lights lining the river is jaw dropping.
The owners have done a marvellous job renovating the apartment with extraordinary attention to detail and lovely design touches. It was spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped.
My only word of caution is that (in common with the majority of other properties in Looe) access is difficult. The closest place you can pull your car up for unloading then requires a climb of the equivalent of about 4 storeys (including some narrow steps) to get to the apartment. This is fine for the able-bodied but totally unsuitable for anyone with mobility problems. We travelled with 2 small children and getting all the associated paraphernalia up there was quite a feat. But PLEASE don't let this put you off if you're able-bodied - it is totally worth it!
