An old stone coach-house, situated on a 70-acre farm, including half a mile of remote* and unspoilt private seashore. Off-grid, for a real change of lifestyle - try life without energy companies! Children, pets, horses welcome. Wonderful for retreats.

Our Victorian stone coach house has been converted into off-grid accommodation in a splendiferous hillside location on the Cornish coast - it's accessible to you if you're a walker, cyclist, horse rider or sailor ... you can even fly in in your microlight, hang-glider or autogyro ... or of course you could just decide to do the usual thing and come by car / motorbike / train / bus.

The coach house sleeps up to 8, so bring some friends and stay in this beautiful, peaceful and very private place.

For most people it's going to be not so much a holiday as a CHANGE OF LIFESTYLE EXPERIENCE! There's no gas and no mains electricity, so kiss your cooker, microwave, fridge, telly, landline broadband and hairdryer goodbye, and embrace the difference!

But we do have electricity (12v DC) for lighting, and you can charge your mobile - and there is hot water, which comes from a woodburner. The woodburner is also a range cooker, with oven and hot plates, and its heat diffuses through the fabric of the whole house; when the weather's too warm to cook on the woodburner you can use the outdoor firepit. To keep food cool, there's a 1 cu ft Zeerpot (zero power - evaporation keeps the temperature down).

There's a bedroom with a double futon on the ground floor, and upstairs there's a sleeping platform with futons for up to 5 adults or 7-8 children (depending on size and wriggliness); there's also a double sofa-futon in the living area.

We provide duvets, sheets, pillow and towels. Or if you prefer to bring your own sleeping bags/ duvets, pillows etc, let us know when you confirm and we'll knock £10 per night off the rate. Oh, and please bring indoor shoes/slippers.

The two washrooms have basins and - NB! - composter loos (search on Torp-Izak), and in one of the washrooms is a lovely hot shower (as long as you've had the woodburner going last night).

If you've got more friends, you're welcome to pitch tents around the coach house.

For entertainment, it's a few simple musical instruments, some packs of cards ... and the wonderful woodlands and Cornish coast ... oh, and of course the labyrinth itself.

We welcome dogs. We ask that they be kept under control near our sheep, goats, chickens etc, but there are wonderful woodlands for them to explore. We charge a supplement of £10 per dog per stay.

* NB 'remote' means it's difficult to get to - and that includes getting to it from the coach house. Down a path through the woodland that gets ever steeper, ending up in a couple of bumslides with fixed ropes. Not for the faint-hearted or infirm of body!

The fishing village of Looe is renowned for its superb fresh fish market, and you'll never forget the superb taste and texture of a freshly made pasty, or a cream tea.
