Further details indoors:
Tudor Cottage was built circa 1600 and grade II listed with English Heritage. Set in one of the quaint narrow streets by the quayside of East Looe, you really get a cosy feeling when you open up the beautiful oak front door of the cottage and step in. On entering the cottage you will see the large welcoming open fireplace with a traditional woodburning stove and original ceiling timbers and window seat. The dining area has a large wooden table, six chairs and CD/stereo.
Through this room is the recently refurbished fully equipped kitchen with solid oak worktops, antique oak dresser, slate floor and modern appliances including large fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave.
Following up the spiral staircase, said to wind around an authentic ships mast, is the lounge area equipped with two comfortable sofas, foot rest, satallite TV, DVD and hi-fi system. Leading off is the second (twin) bedroom, with matching bedside tables, wardrobe and drawer space. Continuing up the spiral staircase is the luxury master bedroom full of charm with king size bed, vaulted ceiling with exposed beams (one of which is 4ft high! - see photograph), Juliet balcony, ample wardrobe space, chest of drawers and matching bedside tables.
Also on the second floor directly off the master bedroom is the luxury bathroom, complete with coordinating white bathroom suite, quality Mira power shower above the bath with glass shower screen. A heated towel rail and vanity unit above the pedestal basin are additional features.
The cottage is Corgi safety checked annually for the gas appliances. A CO2 sensor is fitted to the boiler for your peace of mind.

The West Country / Cornwall region

Cornwall is the perfect location to get away from our hectic daily lives. The fresh air, beautiful scenery, rugged coastline and soft sandy beaches are a draw all year round. Cornwall is far more accessible now with excellent dual carrigeways serving the main towns a typical journey from Birmingham to Looe for example is 3 1/2 hours by car.
The Looe / East Looe area
Looe is a vibrant, historic fishing port where one can choose from a host of activities including safe bathing from the golden sandy beach, rock pooling and whiling away the hours crabbing off the quayside and watching the local fisherman unloading the days catch. Many other watersports such as parascending, water skiing and surfing are available nearby.
The coastline in this region is beautiful and is accessible by the scenic Cornwall South Coast Path.
In addition, throughout the year Looe hosts a range of events including sailing regattas, a jazz festival, carnival week and even a duck race! New year at Looe is made really special with the whole town celebrating in fancy dress and fireworks at midnight off the beach.
A lovely picturesque railway running along the river connects East Looe to Liskeard giving further access to the national rail network.
The river divides East and West Looe and both areas have a wealth of quaint buildings, cobbled streets, award winnning restaurants, cafes, traditional pubs and a variety of interesting shops, art galleries and boutiques.
