About the home

Chapel Views is the top half of a newly converted Methodist Chapel situated just outside Looe (3 miles), in the lovely village of Duloe.
The Apartment is spacious, light and airy with stunning uninterrupted countryside views from the lounge and both bedrooms.
The accommodation consists of a large open plan kitchen, lounge/diner and two bedrooms, one with a king size bed the other with a double bed. Lounge and bedrooms all have flat screen free-view TV’s (1 No.32" & 2 No. 22" with DVD's). The bathroom has a large walk in shower cubicle (new 2012).

The Apartment also has internet access.
A small garden with parking.
Bed linen and bath & hand towels are all included - please bring your own beach towels.
A breakfast welcome pack will be waiting for you when you arrive - milk, tea, coffee, bread, butter, jam and free range eggs.

LOOE:-
Looe is a beautiful ancient fishing village with an intriguing history, home to just over five thousand people, it's situated in South East Cornwall only twenty miles from the city of Plymouth.

It's split in two halves with East and West Looe joined by a seven arched bridge that spans across the Looe River, and the South West Coastal Path passes through the village on it's 630 mile journey.

The jumble of houses rise against a steep sided valley, with the remains of a Hill Fort set high on a hill above East Looe which dates back thousands of years.

History weaves around the narrow winding streets where buildings are a legacy from a different age, the interesting shops play host to seekers of something special, whilst the restaurants tempt visitors with the catch of the day.

Looe played an important part in ship building and the export of Tin and Granite in the past, although today sees colourful pleasure boats reflected in the water in the picturesque harbour, and the Fishing Fleet venturing out ever hopeful of that mouth watering catch of Pilchards and Crab.

Sugar soft sandy beaches gently curve, and hidden coves entwine with tails of smugglers who landed their contraband on St Georges Island that lies off the western shore.

The Looe / East Looe area

Duloe is a small village approx halfway between Liskeard and Looe. In the village you will find a small local run shop and a pub - restaurant both within easy walking distance.
There are several cycle tracks such as Camel Trail, Cardinham Woods and the old Mineral Trainway. Also country walks around Duloe a 3.5 and 5 mile loop. Horse riding can be found a short distance from the apartment.
In a field just across the road from the parish church of St. Cuby, a 5th century Cornish saint (about a couple of hundred yards from the church), is a Bronze Age stone circle dating from around 2000BC. By Stonehenge standards it is very small at just under 40ft diameter.
It consists of seven upright stones plus one lying on its side. The largest of the remaining stones is approx 8ft tall.
Golf Courses
Here are a few of the golf course close to Duloe including Looe 3 miles away (par 70, 5940 yd). Hoburne Doublebois 5 miles away ( 9 holes, 2192 yd). Lostwithiel Bodmin 8 miles away (par 72, 5984 yd). Whitsand Bay Portwrinkle (par 70, 6013 yd). Lanhydrock Bodmin 11 miles away (par 70, 6100 yd). St Mellion Saltash 11 miles away (par 72/69, 7019/5782 yd).
You can Rock climb at Downderry and Kayak at West Looe River.
The Lux Park Leisure Centre indoor pool in Liskeard (15 mins) has water flumes – a popular outing with families.
Looe is 3 miles away, a small fishing town where you will find several excellent restaurants, a good selection of shops, fresh fish off the quay, sandy beaches, sea fishing and boat hire.

“Immaculate place to stay, so comfortable” Chapel Views was exactly as advertised. Very peaceful location. The property is immaculate inside, very comfortable with everything you can think of provided. A very warm and friendly welcome from the owners who kindly provided welcome provisions! Close proximity to lovely beaches and we had a great day out at the Eden project.

“Special Birthday Getaway” We were late to book and so lucky to find Chapel Views. We planned to celebrate my husbands 50th and to take the boys away. There is everything you need, Linda & Gary go out there way to make your stay to be as perfect as possible. Beautifully decorated, very clean with all what you need, 3 tv's, dvd's radio's. wi-fi etc.......Pure luxury. In a lovely location with lovely views and about 3 miles from Looe. Centrally located for most places. We will definately love to go back again.

“you could not find better” this is a great place to say, there is every thing you need and more , On arrival we was welcomed with tea, bread , milk , eggs . The place was spotless and bigger than we thought after looking at the photo,s . Beds very comfy and bedding very clean and believe me i am picky about clean bedding . kitchen very well equipped there is nothing missing linda and gary the owners where made to do this job i honestly cant fault the place .

“Home away from home” Location is convenient for day trips around Cornwall. Unit is well furnished and tastefully done. Cooking was fun because of good utensils and cutlery. Hosts were very thoughtful with useful literature to explore the region. Breakfast basket was a lovely touch. Will not hesitate to stay there again.

“Very comfortable well equipped apartment ideal for four people.” Stayed in this lovely apartment over the Easter weekend. Very well equipped. Very high standard. Quiet location with easy access to Looe. Lots of lovely walks nearby. Owners were helpful and friendly. Generous welcome.
