Wenmouth is a 2 bed cottage in a very popular area of West Looe, quietly tucked away yet very convenient to the harbour, pubs, shops and restaurants. Parking for 1 car very close.

Wenmouth Cottage is a 17th Century cornish Fisherman's cottage. Beautifully restored and tastefully furnished to a very good standard, its located in a quiet and tucked away position, yet still affording lovely views down over West Looe to the quay from a bedroom. Wenmouth boasts cosy lounge with flat screen t.v., kitchen/diner and upstairs double bedroom and twin bedroom. There is a shower room ideally linked to both bedrooms, affording an "ensuite" feel to both bedrooms. Wenmouth comes with its own allocated parking approx. 50 yards from the cottage and free to guests.

Wenmouth Cottage is a wonderful 17th Century cottage tucked away quietly off the popular West Looe Hill area which means its ideal location enables you to be at the harbour within a few minutes walk. The accommodation is immaculately presented to a very good standard with the furnishings replaced as the cottage has been recently redecorated and refurbished (October 2010).

There is an allocated parking space for 1 car approx. 50 yards from the property, free to guests.
There is a garden bench directly outside the cottage, but no other garden apart from this bench area.

The West Country / Cornwall region

Wenmouth Cottage is located in West Looe, and is quietly tucked away yet very conveniently close to the harbour where you can take a boat taxi (tide permitting) to the east side or if you prefer, you can walk along the scenic harbour to the east side. The east side has many shops, pubs and restaurants to visit, not to mention art/craft shops and art galleries to browse. It also has a long sandy beach, famous Banjo Pier and fabulous promenade where you can walk along taking in the wonderful scenery.

There are boat trips like coastal cruises, speed boat rides and glass bottom boat trips on offer, however, you may prefer to stay on dry land and walk one of the coastal paths to view your surroundings more easily. On the west side, there is another beach, this time with rock pools and pockets of sand, along with fantastic St. George's Island to see. The coastal path from here will take you to Talland, along to Polperro Looe's neighbouring fishing village which is smaller than Looe but still boasts lovely restaurants, cafes, pubs with fine ales and again more art/craft shops and galleries. There is much to see and do in Looe, with miles and miles of fantastic coastline in both directions.

The Looe area

Wenmouth Cottage lies approx 40 mins from the city of Plymouth, 1 hour 15 mins drive from the cornish city of Truro, 45 mins drive from Eden Project and 25 mins drive from Bodmin Moor. The moorland is a must to be considered not only because of its vast rugged scenery but you will also get a real feel of our real cornish history, you will see the old tin mines and the chance to find out about the mining heritage, not to mention our fabulous roaming moorland cattle.

The cottage lends itself to an ideal very reasonably priced cottage forming an ideal base if you wish to stay in and around Looe, but if you want to see more of Cornwall, there isnt too much driving to do, as you are fairly central to seeing most parts.
