Fantastic Grade 2 listed cottage sleeping 6 nestled in the quaint hamlet of Hessenford, approximately 10 mins drive from Looe. Sleeps 6, spacious accommodation with large enclosed rear garden, parking and wi-fi. Yards from a locally renowned pub.

Kernow is a mid terraced 1800's grade 2 listed cottage located in a wonderful hamlet just about 10 mins drive from the fishing town of Looe and a 5 mins drive from Seaton Beach. In fact it lies enviable in a fantastically central location, given that from each direction, lies miles upon miles of wonderful scenic coastline. Kernow boasts spacious L shaped kitchen/diner with stable door leading to a beautiful large enclosed rear garden with its own decking area and space for bar-b-cue.

Downstairs separate and very characterful lounge with logburner, flat screen tv and wi-fi. Stairs from the dining room lead to the 3 bedrooms, off 2 small landing areas, one large family bedroom with a double and a single bed within, 2nd double bedroom and the 2nd landing leads off to a single bedroom ovelooking the rear gardens. Family bathroom with bath, shower over the bath, wash hand basin and w.c. Parking for 1 car outside the property.

The lounge has a 4 seater leather sofa and chair, logburner, flatscreen t.v. and dvd. wi-fi. Separate dining area has a table and seating for 6 overlooking the gardens. Mini Hi-fi, 2/3 seater comfortable sofa and addtional portable t.v./dvd. Open feature fireplace.

Kitchen: fabulous farmhouse style kitchen with Belfast sink and calor gas range style cooker with 4 gas rings and large 5th gas ring, grill, platewarmer and oven. Large fridge/freezer.

Storage heaters throughout the cottage plus logburner in the lounge. Feature fireplace in the dining area.
Sorry pets not permitted. No smoking in the cottage.

There is parking for 1 car outside the property on the road/pavement, but there could be additional parking - speak to us regarding this.

There are no key/coin meters at the property, therefore all utilities fall within the rental tariff. Linen and towels provided, t towels provided. Short breaks out of season welcomed. Less than a minute walk from the Copley Arms Pub in Hessenford a well locally renowned family orientated pub.

I WOULD SAY CARE TO BE TAKEN WITH YOUNG CHILDREN AS THE COTTAGE LIES ON A ROAD LEADING TOWARDS LOOE, SO ADULT SUPERVISION REQUIRED WHEN TAKING CHILDREN IN AND OUT OF THE COTTAGE.

The West Country / Cornwall region

Kernow Cottage nestles in a cute little hamlet called Hessenford, lying on the main road leading to the nearby fishing town of Looe where there are many pubs, shops, restaurants and gift shops and galleries are to be found, along with a long sandy beach on the east side and a rock pool type beach on the west side, overlooking its very own island.

The cottage is yards from a very good pub offering fine ales and well acclaimed food. Seaton Beach is approx 4/5 mins drive from the cottage which has its own beach side cafe where you can sit out and admire miles of coastline. The cottage itself is located in such a good position in terms of you can drive between many beaches, coves and bays all within a few miles of each other.



There would be too many beaches to list within an hour drive, but there is certainly miles of coastline to visit and this would bode well for any family wishing to discover the beautiful cornish coastline. What a fantastic base, near to a good pub, a short distance from a convenience store in Downderry, or more shops in Looe, not to mention 5 mins further drive from Looe, the historical and hugely popular fishing village of Polperro.

The Looe / Hessenford area

Kernow Cottage lies 25 mins drive from the city of Plymouth, an hour 15mins drive from the cornish city of Truro, 45 mins drive Eden Project. 10 mins drive from Looe where you can take a fishing trip, speed boat ride, glass bottom boat trip, or simply walk the fantastic coastal path to Polperro or even further! You can walk from Kernow Cottage along a beautiful woodland nature trail to Seaton, all of this walk is a nature reserve.

25 mins drive will see you at Bodmin Moor which offers natural rugged scenic landscape, where you can discover the mining heritage and the wonderful tin mines standing in all their glory, along with roaming moorland cattle grazing freely. Siblyback Lake is also on the moors, it's here that you can try some sailing on the reservoir. There is so much to see and do from Kernow Cottage, but one thing is for sure, its a wonderful spacious cottage, providing an excellent base to explore the rest of the county.
