The Threshing Barn at East Trenean Farm

Tucked away on the south coast of Cornwall within an area of outstanding natural beauty, just 3 miles from the nearest beaches and town. Quiet and tranquil and a haven for wildlife. Beautiful, recently converted barn with many original features complimented with all the quality modern furnishings and equipment needed for a very comfortable holiday. Very clean and modern internally.

Beautiful ex threshing barn with a lovely high vaulted living space, original stone walls and beams. Cosy and spacious with bags of character and charm.

The accommodation is arranged over two levels.

Enter from your private lawned front garden to the upper level. Here you will find the vaulted sitting room, dining area, kitchen and utility room.

A solid oak staircase leads to the lower level with it's three bedrooms (one with en-suite shower room) and a family bathroom.

All bedrooms have zip-link beds offering the flexibility of king size doubles or twin beds in each room. Just let us know your preference before you arrive.

There is also a separate staircase up to a mezzanine level overlooking the lounge area where you can sit and relax on the sofa with a book or older children can use it to play board games, which are stored here.

Doors lead from all of the bedrooms to a sunny and sheltered shared patio area to the rear of the property.

Decorated white throughout with oak wooden flooring, woollen ethnic rugs and wooden furniture.

Very clean, well equipped, bright modern kitchen with dishwasher, range cooker, microwave, american fridge/freezer, toaster and kettle. Utility room with washing machine, iron and ironing board.

Baby bath available.

Free WIFI.

Hair dryer.

Water comes from our own bore hole, so we have freshly filtered spring water on tap.

Free range eggs available subject to the ongoing cooperation of our chickens!

The West Country region

Cornwall and Devon are well known for their warm maritime climate driven by close proximity to the Gulf stream.

The varied landscape provides something for everyone.

For walkers, there are the more arduous walking conditions found in Bodmin Moor and on Dartmoor. There are wonderful walks along the South West Coastal Path with it's breathtaking views and a whole string of beaches and coves to explore.

For gardeners, there are many wonderful gardens to visit.

For families, there is a legendary range of activities available from sunny beaches and water sports to go-karting and water parks for fun filled days out.


East Trenean Farm is in an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB) among beautiful rolling countryside but just 3 miles from the coast at Looe.

We are within easy reach of many of the excellent beaches on the south coast.

The south west coastal path is close by and a must for walkers.

Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor are also within easy reach for the more adventurous walkers.

Watersports are available at many of the beaches and fishing is popular from Looe.

In addition to the excellent beach and fishing, Looe benefits from an broad range of shops, taverns, restaurants, and galleries catering to all budgets.

The thriving University city of Plymouth is 30 minutes away with its lively nightlife on the Barbican, great shopping at the new Drake Circus centre, world famous Aquarium, views over the Sound from the Hoe, numerous marinas and boat yards.

In the opposite direction, Fowey, St Austell, Bodmin, the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens Gardens of Heligan are all within easy reach.

The National Trust look after miles of near-by coast and countryside from Whitsand to Polperro and have their own car parks to strike out from.

The nearest NT properties include ANTONY, the early 18th-century mansion and gardens (used as the film set for Alice in Wonderland) at Torpoint (8.5 miles), COTEHELE MILL, the working water mill and workshops near Saltash (10.7 miles), COTEHELE, the Tudor house, gardens, quay and estate near Saltash (11.1 miles), LANHYDROCK, the magnificent late Victorian country house with gardens and wooded estate near Bodmin (12.6 miles), BUCKLAND ABBY, the over 700 year old Abby - part museum, part house with orchards and woodland at Yelverton (14.1 miles), SALTRAM HOUSE the magnificent Georgian house with it's opulent Robert Adam interiors (14.7 miles). LAWRENCE HOUSE the beautiful Georgian town house, now a museum in Castle Street, Launceston (17.2 miles).
