River View Apartments' location is quiet and secluded without sacrificing any of the convenience of being within a short walk of all that Looe has to offer - sandy beach, rock pools, harbour, shops and a wide choice of restaurants and bars.
"High Tide" cannot decide whether it is a bungalow or the penthouse suite. The entrance is on the ground floor but from the living area you are at birds eye level! The lounge/diner/kitchen is particularly spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The modern bathroom with power shower also includes a double ended spa bath, a great way to end the day.
Unusually in Looe, this apartment comes with its own outdoor terrace garden and a free on-site parking space.
The owners have used their experience from years of family self catering holidays to bring you an easy going, relaxed and well equipped holiday home, with just a taste of luxury.

Looe is well placed for visiting much of Cornwall with all its beautiful beaches, quaint coastal towns and famous houses and gardens. Do not forget the drama of Bodmin Moor, or the beautiful walks along the coastal paths. If its activities you are after, there are plenty of companies offering exciting expeditions eg canoeing, karting, coasteering and many more. For small children there are leisure and animal attractions for all.
The Looe area
Looe is a bustling fishing town with loads of restaurants and pubs giving plenty of choice for all budgets. Looe caters for residents and visitors alike so there is a wide choice of supermarkets, bakers, butchers, banks, post office, chemist, hairdressers, clothing, gift shops, beach shops and fish market.
East Looe’s clean sandy beach is ideal for families and is just a 10 minute walk through the town. Hannafore beach, West Looe, is approximately 10 minutes walk in the other direction and has lovely rock pools and views across to Looe Island. The National Trust beach at Whitsand Bay is just one of many more that are a short car drive away.
The SW coast path will take you to Polperro or the private lane at the bottom of the apartments takes you to Killminorth Woods with a lovely walk along the West Looe River - a favourite with our visiting joggers.
When you have had enough of the beach, try one of the various boat and fishing trips available or why not spend a family afternoon crabbing from the quay. The SW Coast path or walks in Kilminorth Woods will provide plenty of exercise and breathtaking scenery.
Of course there are also plenty of other exciting places to visit nearby but it's easy to have a few car-free days when staying in Looe.

• By Car: Road access from all parts of the UK is easy via the M5 to Exeter and then Devon Expressway (A38) to Plymouth.
Exeter to Looe is 60miles and takes approximately 1¼ hours. Plymouth to Looe is approx 30 minutes.
• By Air: Nearest airports - Exeter, Bristol
• By Sea: Nearest Cross Channel Port - Plymouth.
• By Rail: Nearest Station - Looe. Mainline trains to Liskeard via Plymouth, change to pretty branch line along East Looe River from Liskeard to Looe.
• Car not essential but recommended to explore Cornwall.

We have just returned from a long weekend at High Tide apartmant, River View. It is in a good location with everything within walking distance and is also quiet which is important to me.It is up a slight hill but this wasent a problem.We went walking for the weekend so it was a good base for the coastal walks nearby. The apartment is very spacious, clean and of a good standard with everything you need including dishwasher, fridge freezer,even a comfy bed. Overall very good value and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend it.The Trawler restauant in Looe is also worth a visit ! |

Stary for 5 nights in October, on arrival I was impressed with the property, it was spotless and had everything you would need. Very comfortable and modern, felt like home! Looe town is just a 5 minute walk away so no need to use the car. Struggled to find the car parking area at first when trying to access from the main carpark as there are no signs but after that no problems. Great spa bath in the bathroom which was appreciated after doing the coast walk to Polperro. I would recommend this place to stay. |

The apartment has been recently refurbished and is spacious, bright and clean. It has everything we needed for our holiday, including a great power shower! Dishwasher, cooker, fridge-freezer and microwave in the kitchen - not forgetting the important cafetiere. There is also a flat secreen TV with built-in DVD player and a mini hi-fi, though the latter has no "Aux" input to connect an iPod unfortunately. The free wi-fi connection was reliable and fast. Only a few minutes' walk into town for restaurants, pubs and shops. Excellent property. |
