Longford, Ireland

Allenagh Cottages are located on the outskirts of Killoe Parish. Killoe is situated about 4 miles north of Longford town and, as the largest parish in the county, is bordered by Newtownforbes, Drumlish, Ballinamuck, Ballinalee, Edgeworthstown and Longford. Killoe is a tranquil place with large areas of bogland of interest to the eco tourist. The highest point in County Longford, Corn-hill, lies within this area with magnificent views from both the Southern and South-Eastern slopes.

Killoe is also home to the old Tudor-Gothic style House, Carrigglas Manor. Allenagh cottages are located on a side road off Carrigglas Manor and used to be the staff houses for the Manor.

"All you need when on holidays"

We found the location great for day trips. It was very quiet, private and spacious accommodation. We had parking outside front door. Shops and pubs were within a few minutes driving, would not be much to taxi to pubs for a night out.
