Walk to the Plage du Rocher through the forest (20 mins) or drive (2 mins). The beach of Les Conches, popular with surfers, slightly further away. The small town of Longeville sur Mer is nearby with shops, bars and restaurants. The towns of Lucon, La Roche sur Yon and Les Sables d'Olonne are 1/2 hr drive away.

The house is set into the natural slope of the garden . The sous sol comprises a bedroom with windows to front garden , a shower room and w.c . entrance hall and cosy snug with sofas.
First floor comprises large master bedroom , second bedroom and lounge diner opening onto balcony with patio set overlooking front garden . The bathroom , w.c and kitchen which opens onto back garden are also on the first floor.
The lounge which has satellite t.v ( English freeview channels) and a dvd collection has comfortable seating and sofa bed for extra guests.

The Poitou-Charentes / Vendee / Vendee region
The Vendee is the second sunniest region in France blessed with 140 km of sandy beaches. The name Vendee is taken from the river that runs through the south east of the department.
Places to visit include:

The Longeville sur Mer / Le Rocher area
You will be staying a 2 minutes drive from or a 20 minute walk through the forest Domaniale to the beach of Le Rocher with free car parking, three restaurants and a bar. Amenities include a boulangerie, snack bar, surf shop and gift shop.
The small town of Longeville is 3 km away with shops, a supermarket and bars and restaurants.
The nearby villages of Avrille and Le Bernard are surrounded by many prehistoric stones - Dolmens and Menhirs.
The Indian forest - accrobranche - adventure park is a 15 minute drive away.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Maison dans las pins with our 3 children, the beach being a 20 minute walk through the beautiful forest made our days easy. The local town and major supermarket are only a short car journey away. The house had everything we needed for our stay including a travel cot for the baby. We would highly recommend this holiday home. |
