The property comes equipped with all of your tableware and kitchen requirements and laundry facilities are provided close by.

Additional beds can be put in some properties for increased accommodation and twin or double combinations can be altered if required. Cots, high chairs and plenty of other baby bits are available if needed. Internet access, wifi and TV (with Sky Sports) are available from the bar, while some cottages have TV/DVDs. The garden is furnished with sun loungers, outside dining and a BBQ for the long summer days!

Please note that we have two other equally charming one-bedroomed cottages on site, as well as a choice of larger properties.

Longeveau itself is a very relaxed environment for families, groups and couples. Within the grounds we offer a range of facilities to make your holiday as relaxed or enjoyable as you wish it to be. As well as a superb range of facilities, we offer the opportunity for families or groups to socialise with others. Or simply appreciate the peace and quiet of your own company! Above all, we offer you the opportunity to relax, refresh and enjoy...

Our 'Salle de Soins' (treatment room) offers a range of massages and treatments for you to indulge in!

Our 9 hole FFG golf course is a challenge to golfers of all abilities. We have three all-weather tennis courts, a sports barn with compact tennis, basketball etc., a table tennis barn and boules pitch. We have five swimming pools (two heated / three private) plus a children's splash pool and plenty of space to relax in or explore. Golf and tennis coaching is available from local English speaking PGA / CCA qualified professionals.

For our younger guests, there is a play area, a toddlers play area, a secret play house and a crèche that runs throughout the summer. Our restaurant serves great food and shares a terrace with the bar, with south facing views across the grounds and the valley.

The Aquitaine/Dordogne region

The region is known for it's great climate with sun drenched summers, rolling green hills and valleys as far as you can see, plus all the history you could ever need. The food and drink is superb and the people are welcoming. The area is a paradise for wine lovers who may wish to visit the numerous chateaux and wine caves on the Bordeaux wine trail.

Longeveau

Longeveau is located on the Charente / Dordogne border in a beautiful valley in rural South West France. Nearby villages are full of activity, with places to visit, dine and drink. The picturesque old Roman town of Aubeterre, which was recently voted one of the prettiest villages in France, is only a bike ride away. Discover the 12th century subterranean church carved out of the rock or enjoy a drink on the village square with it's variety of shops, eateries and museums, all overlooked by a 1,000 year old chateau. Alternatively walk down to the river beach for a swim, relax or a bite to eat.

The market town of Riberac (20 mins) has one of the biggest markets in France! The capital towns of Angouleme and Perigueux (45 mins) offer a wider and more sophisticated range of shops in a typically French setting. Brantome, nicknamed the 'Venice of Perigord' is well worth a visit at a similar distance. Also within easy reach are towns such as St. Emilion, Bergerac, Cognac and Bordeaux, all famous for their wines and spirits and equally beautiful places to visit.

Local activities range from walking, sight seeing, tree climbing, canoeing, cycling, fishing, or even jet–skiing and quad biking to name but a few. Wine tasting and degustation are of course a staple part of the French experience! There are a variety of local festivals, fetes and firework displays that take place throughout the summer in the local villages and towns. These are aimed at all ages and generally take place between the months of June and September.

Children will find plenty to occupy themselves and their families with activities ranging from crazy golf, horse riding and tree top adventure's to daytrip's to the popular attractions of Aqualand Water Park, La Palmyre Zoo and Futuroscope. Longeveau is fortunate to have a number of very good restaurants in the area, ranging from cafés to fine dining. As with everything, our staff will be happy to recommend or help you with decisions.

"A nice place"

We stayed there in mid september 2012, which was a little off season, but suited us work wise.Pro's: They had baby chairs (ours was missing the strap which was dangerous - so they gave us a new o… More

Thank you for posting your review. I am glad you enjoyed your stay, but really sorry for the problems you experienced, particularly with the baby gate. Partly on the back of your comments, we recently carried out a review of all of our baby gates. We have ordered custom built gates for the Garconniere, to ensure the same problem does not happen again.

Due to the power supply across the estate, we do not put Microwaves in all of the cottages as standard. However we do have them available to borrow on request. In light of your comments, and a few other similar comments this year, we will endeavour to make this clearer at the point of booking. Where possible, we will also put in microwaves in all cottages with babies staying.

Thanks again for your feedback, and your kind words.
