Fourth year we have returned to this villa. Does what it says on the tin. Far enough from the town/village to let us BBQ and play music and a short walk to the most welcoming tapas bars in Spain. After one of our late nights in a bar the local baker showed us around his workplace while preparing the bread and the next morning we picked up the warm loaves LOVE IT. We always fill up in the supermarket in Loja on the way up to the villa but make sure we buy our daily needs in the local shops; the shop owners are so friendly towards us. We took our anual trip to the lake (this year we found the beach WOW) and ate at the same resturant as alwaya (never dissapointed). One day in Torrolominos is enough for us each year (has to be done) and Granada is a great place to shop and/sit in the bars. The best days are spent sat around and messing about in the pool just chillin. |

We paid £450 a week for this villa in peak season so it was a bargain price. The villa is in an amazing spots with views second to none over the olive groves, spectacular sunsets! Zagra itself is very pretty and secluded, you definitely need a car to get out and about. The villa itself is large with plenty of room, some things are a bit tired and could do with replacing such as the cushions for outside and the bedding was past it's best but clean. We bought a kettle and toaster as the ones in the villa were really too shabby to use. Great pool and outside space, basic furniture, we bought a cheap parasol as there wasn't one. The bathroom downstairs didn't get used by us but the one upstairs was better, both are worn and very dated but the upstairs one does the job. As I've said it was a great price so on the whole we got what we paid for and I would say for anyone wanting a relaxing self catering holiday away from it all it would be a good find for the price. |
