From the villa there is easy access to Granada, Seville,and Cordoba, and 30 min. drive to the beautiful lake district of Spain Iznajar. we are 5mins. from the historic town of Loja where you can enjoy Hang gliding, rambling, trekking, orienteering, and mountain biking. You can take a trip to Granada and visit the Alhambra Palace (or you can just chill out by the pool) you have the choice to totally relax or explore Spain. We are also 5mins. from the fishing reserve of Rio Frio where there are numerous restaurants, trout being the speciality. (why not catch your own dinner.) The villa boasts three double bedrooms plus a large upstairs salon with two double sofa beds.

The Costa Tropical/Granada region
Just of the A92 motorway about midway between Malaga and Granada lies the beautiful district of Loja In a narrow valley dominated by the barren limestone massif of the sierra Loja this small town - divided in two by the Genil river is full of history, and well worth a visit, it has several interesting churches one being the 16th century Inglesa de San Gabriel designed by Diego de Siloe Loja is within easy reach of most Andalusian destinations, Antequera, Cordoba, Malaga, Granada, the lakes at Iznajar and of course Riofrio
Loja area
Two minute walk from the villa will take you to Bar Rafael, where you can enjoy an excellent meal in the restaurant,(for a very reasonable price) or just a drink in the bar. Riofrio is in the beautiful Loja district of Andalucia, and just 4 klms from the historical town of Loja. (the villa is situated between the two) The surrounding countryside is the perfect place for walking biking and of course fishing. The farm at Riofrio uses natural vegitation filters in the water purification system and is thought to be the first organic certified sturgeon farm in the world. There is all round fishing at Riofrio and you will need a fishing permit. Even if you are not keen on fishing it is worth taking a walk across what remains of the ancient bridge from the times of the caliphs. or just a leisurely stroll along the river, and stop to eat at one of the dozen restaurants in this small but unique village.
How to get there
You can get some amazing bargains on flights with Ryanair Liverpool to Granada. From Granada airport it is appox 25 mins to the village. You can also fly to Malaga airport if that is preferable to you and the journey is still under 1hr. to the village. I find that the website carjet@carjet.com are the most competative on car hire prices.
