Birchway Farm - The Nook

Situated in the wilds of south Norfolk, tucked away at the end of a no through road you will find the peaceful retreat that is Birchway Farm - The Nook. This newly converted one up one down cottage (attached to Birchway Farm) offers luxury bed and breakfast accommodation with a little bit more…

Our self-catering B&B style gives guests that extra bit of privacy so you can really relax and escape the outside world. The cottage is fully self-contained, with its own private entrance and garden meaning you can breakfast (lunch and dinner) in the comfort of your own cosy little home.

The Nook boasts boutique style accommodation with a double bedroom, shower room and fully equipped kitchen. A luxurious, locally sourced breakfast hamper packed full of delicious produce is provided – you just have to decide whether its breakfast in bed, the kitchen or soaking up the morning sun (when it's out) on the patio!

Outside there is plenty of parking and 7 acres of land for guests to roam. Plus, our rural location means there are many peaceful walking and cycling routes.

The East Anglia region

Whether you are here for a night, weekend or week East Anglia has a whole host of interesting things to see, do and visit. Mundham and Seething

Mundham itself is a tiny village of just 63 houses that closely neighbours the slightly larger village of Seething. Seething has a small and very friendly village shop and Post Office selling basic necessities.

The nearby town of Loddon boasts an excellent butcher, deli & café, vintage tearooms, twice monthly Farmers Market, small Co-op supermarket, newsagent, several pubs, two fish and chip shops and three takeaways. You can also gain access to the southern tip of the Broads from Loddon and day boats are available to hire. There are also some great walks and cycling routes around Loddon taking you along the Broads via The Wherryman's Way.

The beautiful market town of Bungay is just a 15 minute drive away and has some exceptional eateries, deli, butchers, fruit and veg shop, supermarket and interior, antique and gift shops that are well worth a visit. Bungay also offers as fantastic little theatre and castle ruins.

Just 20 minutes drive from Birchway Nook is the historic city of Norwich. Not only does it feature the usual collection of high-street shops, restaurants and department stores but also a fantastic covered market, library, historic cobbled streets and magnificent cathedral. A must see is the Norman castle which takes centre stage within the city and contains a fantastic museum and art gallery.

The Beach

We are also lucky enough to be just 40 minutes away from the seaside. The delightful town of Southwold offers a refined taste of the Heritage coast and is also home to the renowned Adnams Brewery. For the 'kiss me quick' experience head up the coast to the rather more 'lively' resorts of Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft.
