Lovingly restored by the architect owner, this white stone trullo provides a charming setting for an unforgettable Puglian holiday. The trullo dates back hundreds of years, but has been perfectly restored to combine the picture-postcard beauty with every modern comfort needed for a lovely summer getaway.
The new swimming pool is set in a pretty walled garden bordered by rolling fields with paved sun terrace and colourful flowers. Located at the end of a country lane, the trullo offers delightful views of the unspoilt surrounding countryside and the picturesque town of Locorotondo.
Inside the décor is of a contemporary style with bespoke furnishings complementing the exposed natural stone. The tasteful use of colourful fabrics and natural wood make the trullo inviting and comfortable. Each bedroom has an en suite shower room. The kitchen is accessed by an external door and leads directly to the patio and the swimming pool and garden area. Due to the unique design of the trullo with thick stone walls and conical ceilings, Cattevodda offers a cool respite from the hot Puglian summer days.

The Puglia/Molise region
Puglia is often called the "Garden of Italy" or the "Bread basket of Italy" as the region produces much of the Olive Oil and Wheat used in the country. Puglia is also now becoming recognised as a producer of fine wines. It has the longest coastline in Italy and being so far south has the greater number of hours of sunshine in Italy giving the tourist season that little bit extra.
Locorotondo area
Locorotondo occupies a stunning position with amazing views over the Valle d’Itria, scattered with olive groves and Trulli houses. This traditional town is typical of the region, characterised by winding narrow streets and quaint buildings.
Stay here and you may even be lucky enough to catch one of the colourful local festivals including the popular event in honour of the town’s patron saint, San Rocco, as well as a number of food festivals. Locorotondo well-known in Puglia for its excellent wine making, with the fantastic Bianco Locorotondo produced in the area.
How to get there
Fly to Bari or Brindisi Airports, with BA, Alitalia or Ryanair to mention a few. Car Hire available from the airports with Hertz, Avis, Europcar, Sixt and Maggiore. Detailed directions can be provided.

Conditions
Rental rates include linens, towels, pool towels, gas and electricity and heating. Changeover day. Preferred changeover day is Saturday. Please arrive after 5pm and leave by 11am on departure day. For bookings outside peak periods please contact us as it may be possible to arrange different arrival and departure days. If you require a last minute break (within two weeks of rental period) and the trullo is vacant, please contact us and we may be able to arrange a discount. We may also be able to accommodate short breaks during the low season.
