Locorotondo is one of the main town of the beautiful Valle D’Itria, really close to other superb location such as the renowned Alberobello, Martina Franca and Ostuni. Highly famous for its wine tradition and production, Locorotondo offers a nice and calm environment among its narrow streets in between white stone old buildings. Perfect location also to enjoy the sea, just twenty minutes away by car for the Adriatico sea, as well as the Jonio one. In Summer Locorotondo also hosts an intriguing Jazz Festival.

The Puglia/Molise region

Puglia is a wondeful Region in the south east of Italy.
The region offer a nice combination of seacost places, beaches and old historical towns, and a relaxing hill and countryside landscape known as Valle D'Itria.
Really famous for the Mediaval architectures created during the reign of Frederich the Second, Puglia has its capital in Bari, a city with an interesting old town renowned for the Saint Nicolas main church, destination of pilgrimage and artistic tourism from all over the World.
Lecce is another beautiful little town with a dense and artistically important old city centre with a style completely different from the Brai's one.
And don't Forget to visit the beautiful Poligano an old town built on high cliffs and caves on the sea!

Locorotondo area

Locorotondo is one of the town acknoledged as important Italian heritage, it is part of several other little centres spread in the Valle D'Itria, all typically known as "white cities" because of the colour of all the buildings of the historical city centres. Locorotondo has several interesting old churches to visit in its old town, and it is moreover the capital of the production of the wine in the aere, with the possibility to visit old wine-maker's cellars.
Between June and August ther is an international Jazz Festival with a really dense program called Locus Festival.
Its position is really strategic to visit all the other beauties of the area such as Alberobello, the capital of the charcteristc "Trulli" buildings, Martina Franca, with an Opera Festival, and Cisternino, this last one also site of a famous music festival.
And then with a short drive you will enjoy all the beautiful little bays and sandy beaches of the sea!
During the summe you will hardly see rain clouds, you will be surrounded by comforting and relaxing warmth from the weather and the people.
Finally, don't forget to try the traditional cuisine of the region in one of the many restaurant in the old town together with a refreshing glass of white Locorotondo wine!
