Located in Lochinver, set amid one of the last great unspoiled wildernesses in Europe, this prestigious Lodge offers a peaceful retreat of outstanding natural beauty. For anglers, walkers, bird-watchers or anyone who loves nature, a stay here gives you the opportunity to experience the spectacular natural environment while enjoying the luxurious facilities the Lodge has to offer. Some of wildlife you can expect to see is playful Atlantic seals, red deer, otters, leaping salmon, brown trout and even golden eagles and many other species of bird life. From its hillside setting, the Lodge looks down onto the quiet fishing village of Lochinver, and across the clear waters of the Loch to the Mountains of Assynt.

Recently built, the property has been designed to envelop its occupants with luxury, comfort, relaxation with nature at its core. As well as luxury, the property was also built with the environment in mind. The logs used to build the property where sourced from an organisation dedicated to tree regeneration to maintain the great forests they were cut from. The Lodge has also been fitted with a geothermal heating system, which provides substantial warmth with a low carbon emission rate. To compliment this, under floor heating throughout the lodge provides warmth underfoot for added comfort. For the romantics, there is a log fire which can be enjoyed while sipping on a glass of wine, and listening to your favorite tracks while again taking in the breath taking views before you. One of the highlights of the property is the outdoor Jacuzzi. What could be better than relaxing at the end of your day in a warm bubbling Jacuzzi under the stars looking over the amazing views of the bay and magnificent Assynt mountain range? In addition, there is a 6 person steam room.

Without a doubt Waterloo Lodge will provide you with a holiday experience unlike any other in the area.

"great house in great situation"

everything about this house is excellent. We enjoyed all the facilities it had to offer and the situation was spectacular. It is close to all village amenities and a Michelin starred restaurant - what better way to spend a week in a part of Scotland that is truly breathtaking. We had great weather which made it an even a better break but the house is so comfortable - apart from the sofas which are a little low for those of us of a certain age!, that poor weather would not detract from the peace of the place. none of us had a mobile connection - bliss!! However broadband is available .

Gillian,

So glad you had a nice time, and we hope to receive you again in the future.

All the best

Jason

"Amazing accommodation and location for one of the best family holidays"

Accommodation and facilities are luxurious, providing all mod cons you would expect at home and more. The views and scenery are stunning and never fail to impress whatever the weather. There is much to do and visit in the area, but all at a relaxing pace. There is much attention paid to the needs of guests and feedback is actively sought. A wonderful holiday experience that left us wanting more, hence our return this year.
