About the home
A beautifully appointed comfortable house in a wonderful area for hill walking or scenic strolling where you may see deer, pine martins, otters, seals, eagles, dolphins and porpoise. Appointed four stars by the Scottish Tourist Board. In Lochcarron there are pubs, restaurants and shops and a nine hole golf course. Clubs can be hired from the club house.
There are varied routes for cyclists and the many interesting islands are superb for canoeing and sailing around. Bicycles, canoes and boats can be hired locally. Torridon and the Isle of Skye are a short drive away.
For the angler there are books with information on sea, loch and river fishing (the River Carron has both salmon and sea trout - licences available locally).
There are sea boat trips at nearby Plockton and Kyle of Lochalsh.

Woodside has three double bedrooms, a double and a twin upstairs and a double downstairs. There is a bathroom upstairs which also has a shower and downstairs there is a shower room with WC and basin.
The cottage is very well equipped, with a modern kitchen with granite worktops, a built in double electric oven and hob, microwave oven, dishwasher and fridge. There is also a separate utility room with a washer, tumble dryer and freezer.
Woodside has full oil central heating. Electricity and oil are included in the rental price. Linen is available for hire at an extra cost.
The lovely comfortable lounge has colour television and DVD player together with lots of books, games and DVD’s. The lounge and dining rooms face south giving stunning views over the gardens to the sea.
There is a porch which is ideal for coats and boots.

The very private gardens with patio furniture provide a sheltered sun trap. The garden is fenced and walled with a gate giving access to the shores of Loch Carron.
Woodside has private parking and a 5 metre lockable boat shed for storing bikes and canoes etc.

Booking conditions
Please read these booking conditions carefully as they form a legally binding part of the contract to rent Woodside
1 The hirer is responsible for the holiday home and its equipment during the period of hire and is expected to take all reasonable care of it. No furniture may be taken outside at any time.
the cost of cleaning is not included in the hire charge. All the equipment, utensils and surfaces must be left in a clean condition at the end of the hire period. A charge will be made if additional cleaning is required. Any breakages must be notified to our representative.
2 Pets: we regret that pets are not accepted.
3 Smoking: no smoking is permitted on the premises.
4 Number of people: you must advise us of the maximum number of people who will be staying at Woodside. The maximum number of people allowed is six. Additional people cannot be accommodated.
5 Balance outstanding: once your booking has been confirmed by us, you are responsible for the whole of the hire terms. The balance of the hire charge must be paid no later than 56 days before the hire start date.
6 Booking cancellation: you must notify us by telephone if you intend to cancel your booking and confirm in writing by first class post.
7 Non-arrival: if you do not arrive at the holiday home by mid-day on the day following your hire start date and you have not notified us, we shall be entitled to place the holiday home for re-let forthwith.
8 Occupation: the normal period for occupation is from 1600 (4pm) on the hire start date. If we are prevented by circumstances beyond our control from making the holiday home available and cannot provide a suitable alternative, we will refund all money paid by you but no further liability will be accepted.
9 Departure: the holiday home must be vacated by 1000 (10am) on the final day of hire and must be left in a clean condition.
10 Minors: bookings from people under the age of 21 years will not be accepted.
11 Unsuitable hirers: we reserve the right to decline to accept a booking or to refuse to hand over the holiday home to any person or group where, in our opinion, facilities are not suitable for the person or group on the grounds of age, ill-health, disability, inexperience or any other reason. In such cases, all sums paid shall be refunded and the contract shall be disregarded without further liability on either party. We reserve the right to repossess the holiday home at any time where damage has been caused by the hirer or any of the hirer’s party, or, in our opinion, is likely to be caused by the hirer or any of the hirer’s party. In such cases, we shall not be liable to make a refund of any portion of the hire terms paid.
12 Hirer’s property: we do not accept any liability for loss of, or damage to, personal effects, baggage, motor car accessories, or any other item belonging to or in the possession of the hirer or to any member of the hirer’s party, except insofar as the loss or damage arises from a substantial defect or damage existing in the holiday home or its grounds, and which was known, or should have been known to the owners.
13 Hirer’s responsibilities:
the holiday home is let fully furnished. You are advised to check on arrival and report any shortcomings, damage or missing items immediately to our representative, who’s address is on the letter of confirmation, so that the matter may be remedied for you.

The Lochcarron / Ardaneaskan area
Ardaneaskan (the point of mussels) is an old fishing hamlet on the western edge of Loch Carron with stunning views across to Plocton and the Cullin of Skye.
Lochcarron is a twelve minute drive away and has a good selection of pubs and restaurants and an excellent prizewinning shop. There are also garages and petol filling stations where boats, canoes, bikes and fishing rods can be hired.
