The recently refurbished two bedroom property sits at the foot of mighty Ben Lawers, the tenth highest mountain in Scotland, within the grounds of the Highland estate of Craggantoul. As well as a beautiful private garden with hot tub and spacious decking, our guests have access to some 40 acres of ancient woodland including private orchard, secluded oak forest walks, loch frontage and fishing rights.
Offering guests the ultimate in self catering, the property is luxuriously furnished and offers all the mod cons for the perfect break. The patio doors open onto a wide private decking which is perfect for BBQ's, sunbathing and taking in the fantastic scenery.
The entire location is rich in history, wildlife, activities and attractions, with water sports, walking, fishing, golf courses, castles and distilleries on the doorstep!

Oak Cottage is located within the grounds of a 40 acre Highland estate called Craggantoul with rolling meadows, orchards, duck pond, and ancient oak forest with winding trails down to Loch Tay, where we have fishing rights for trout.
Oak Cottage is a beautiful newly refurbished log cabin with two spacious double ensuite bedrooms and a large open plan kitchen, living and dining area. Both bathrooms have walk in power showers and the master bathroom also has a luxurious free standing bath tub from where guests can soak in the views of the meadows and Loch Tay. Doors open from the living area and from the master ensuite bathroom onto a spacious decking area for easy access to the private hot tub and where guests can enjoy the idyllic beauty of the estate, with unrivalled views over the loch and surrounding meadows.

The views over the loch are breathtaking and our guests are free to wander the orchards and meadows down through the ancient oak forest over streams to the loch where we have fishing rights for trout. The area is rich in wildlife and guests will see the deer roam freely around the grounds and the vibrant bird life on the estate. We have garden furniture and a BBQ.

There are local places of interest very close to Oak Cottage, fishing from our shores, 3 golf courses within ten miles, horse riding, Menzies Castle, water sports on the loch, many Highland festivals in the summer months, the Crannog Centre, visits to the picturesque village of Kenmore and eating out in the gorgeous and renowned restaurants around the loch.

Nice property, self-catering and left alone to enjoy the peace and quiet. Beautiful views of the Loch and mountains. Would recommend and will certainly be coming back myself. Owners were very helpful throughout the stay. Don't get too popular! |
