The Scottish Highlands region

The world famous Loch Ness monster is waiting to greet any visitor to this un-forgettable holiday retreat. The Highlands of Scotland is a beautiful location to visit and explore all year round with lots of breath-taking and unforgettable views and places to surprise any visitor.

Loch Ness

The historic town of Fort Augustus is not just home to the shores of Loch Ness, but the Caledonian Canal which starts from the costal city of Inverness to the famous town of Fort William. Many boats, large and small converge on Fort Augustus with its wide inland waterways lock's allowing passage through the town. There are many special places to visit around the town, with Ben Nevis just 30 miles away. The apartment itself is steeping in history as it is located within the remaining building of a dismantled fort, built in 1729 and originally erected for the suppression of Highland Jacobites. In 1880 St. Benedict's Abbey was completed on the same site as the old Fort and became the home to the Benedictine monks until its closure in 1993.
