The village has several hotels and pubs, restaurants, shops, Post Office and Bank and is home to 2 Loch Ness Monster Exhibitions. This spacious quality holiday lodge (STB graded 4 star) set high on the hillside above Drumnadrochit and Loch Ness offers very comfortable accommodation for a refuge of peace and tranquillity or a convenient base for touring, walking, cycling, bird watching, fishing, golfing or horse riding. No Smoking or Pets. The lodge has patio doors and windows looking out over Loch Ness below. It sleeps 6 guests in 1 Twin and 2 Double Bedrooms, Bathroom, Shower-room with w.c., spacious lounge with TV etc, dining area and fully equipped kitchen including full cooker, washer/dryer, microwave, coffee maker, fridge, freezer and dishwasher.

The lodge is cleaned and serviced prior to arrival - whichever beds required are freshly made up on day of arrival - two pilows per person, two sheets, duvet with laundered duvet cover.

All cooking, lighting and heating is by electricity which is supplied via £1 coin meter - at least £5 has been inserted so that hot water and heating when required is on for arrival.

Despite the four star rating, we consider that this is the worst review that we have had in the eleven years we have been in business as it wrongly gives the impression that the lodges are reached by roads which could damage your vehicle.
I can confirm that our private roads leading to the lodges are and always have been fully tarred - the pothole which this reviewer failed to negotiate was situated on a short section of public (council maintained) road situated more than two miles from the lodges. This part of the road had suffered frost damage but has since been repaired by the council.
There is little point in debating other criticisms as this review is so far out of line with other reviews as to discredit itself and we will not be drawn to retaliate by commenting on the state the lodge was left in on departure. Unfortunately, by failing to report any issues to us when asked if everything was satisfactory for them these guests left us with no evidence to verify that it was in fact unsatisfactory. Although we are often advised against taking all male parties we continue a policy of no discrimination which has not often been abused and on this occasion was actually not too bad but would have needed to be much better to adopt the high ground and criticise the starting point ! I would simply advise that any potential guest also reads the many 5 star reviews which our properties have and make a judgement for themselves.
