Craigmonie Cottage is a spacious detached three bedroomed, all with en-suite, holiday home, found in the popular Loch Ness side village of Drumnadrochit.

Opposite the Local Inn, which serves good beer in its cosy bar and local produce in its popular restaurant and located in the perfect central location to explore the whole of the Highlands easily, this house offers the best of both worlds - great location and access to the area and a spacious, comfortable and private home away from home.

The house offers a downstairs master bedroom with en-suite shower, sanded wooden floors and a large window overlooking the garden, an open plan living room and kitchen with patio doors leading to a decked BBQ area with outside furniture, a separate dining room and two further en-suite bedrooms upstairs, one en-suite with a bath.

The house is bright, spacious and comfortable, freshly decorated and easy to make yourself at home in.

First Floor Entrance porch and hall - bright entrance porch with bench to take off shoes and hall with storage cupboard for coats and outdoor wear.

Lounge/Kitchen - Open plan lounge/kitchen, patio doors from kitchen to wooden deck with garden furniture and BBQ. Fitted modern kitchen with electric hob and oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, and pots, pans, plates, cutlery and utensils. Lounge area with two sofas, coffee table, flat screen TV with basic Sky, DVD player, ipod dock, local information folder, books and games.

Cloakroom/Utility area - toilet and WHB, plus utility area with washing machine, indoor clothes airer, iron and table top ironing board. Dining room - seating for 6.

Master bedroom - twin or super king-size bed, sanded wooden floors, en-suite shower room with heated towel rail.

Second Floor Double Bedroom - double bed, double aspect windows, en-suite bathroom with over bath shower.

Twin bedded room - 2 single beds, double aspect windows, en-suite shower and loo and WHB in bedroom.

Large garden with high hedge offering privacy at front and decked are with garden furniture and BBQ to rear.

Booking terms

A 25% deposit is required on the day of booking to confirm your booking. The final balance of 75%, plus any refundable security deposit, will be due no later than 6 weeks before your arrival date. For bookings made within 6 weeks of the arrival the full amount will be due on the day of booking. Once a booking is made you will be liable for the full cost of the rental however from the time the booking is placed you have 24 hours to change your mind and cancel the booking and you will receive a full refund (less any card processing fees already paid). Key collection is available locally, details are sent by email as part of receipt of payment of the final balance. Full terms of rental can be viewed and printed off as part of the booking process. We strongly recommend that you use holiday cancellation insurance to cover the cost of your rental should, due to any unforeseen event, you have to cancel your booking.

No smoking is permitted within the holiday home.

A refundable good housekeeping deposit of £50 will be required as part of your final balance payment.

Sorry we are unable to accept dogs.

A cot and high chair are available at no extra cost.

The Scottish Highlands region

The village of Drumnadrochit offers a choice of good locally run restaurants and pubs, a small shop and post office and of course two Loch Ness monster exhibitions to help you with your Nessie hunting. You can also get closer to the loch and maybe its famous inhabitant on one of the boat trips leaving from the village.

Urquhart Castle, just a mile North of the village, with its stunning location on the Loch, is a worth a visit and if you want to try pony trekking, the local stables at Borlum Farm cater for beginners to the more advanced and will even take you for a ride out that takes you through the waters of the loch.

Loch Ness

The location of Drumnadrochit, only 13 miles from the small city of Inverness on the North side of the famous loch means that all of the Highlands are within easy reach. You can easily be on the Island of Skye in an hour and a half and the Cairngorm National Park is less than an hour south from here. Closer by you will find Glen Affric, a dramatic and stunningly beautiful area with well-marked walks, offering trails for both walkers and mountain bikers and Strathfarrar, a gated private Glen where only a limited number of cars are allowed to enter each day.

Whether you are a family looking for a spacious, home from home or a couple (discount applies if only using one room) looking for a very comfortable base to explore the Highlands, with an Inn across the road and Loch Ness on your doorstep, Craigmonie Cottage offers it all - what more could you ask for?
