A welcome pack is provided, and our property manager will welcome you on arrival. As St Andrews Chapel is located within the prestigious St Benedicts Abbey , facilities include swimming pool,sauna steam room members club with snooker table,tennis courts table tennis and barbeque,with 20 acres of private gardens on the banks of the Loch. Additionally there is the Boathouse Restaurant in the grounds offering spectacular views the length of Loch Ness. The apartment is perfect for a romantic get away , or as a base for touring the highlands , and really has to be seen to be believed,as it is so unique.The village of Fort Augustus is a few minutes walk away and offers a variety of shops , restaurants , bars and cruises on Loch Ness. St Andrews Chapel is a perfect holiday location at any time of year, offering romantic snow topped mountains and near by ski sports and long summer evenings on the mysterious and romantic Loch Ness with its ruined castles ,scenery to die for, and of course Nessie to hunt for !

Regretably , children under the age of 12 years are not allowed, and there is a No Pet Policy. Due to the bedrooms location on the upper level, the property is not suited for wheel chair access.

The Scottish Highlands region
The Scottish Highland are renowned worldwide for their spectacular scenery . Magestic mountains , Lochs and a huge array of wildlife. The landscape changes with the seasons, and is breathtakingly beautiful at all times. There are many places to visit and learn the history of this region ,from the castles , battlefields , distilleries, and needless to say monster hunting! A traditional Scottish Ceildh is not to be missed, as is a visit to a kilt maker, and malt whisky distillery. There are many wildlife safaris and outdoor activities available , and so much to see and do , a week is not enough! The highland climate is notorious for changing rapidly, but the colours of the heather on the mountains and glens is a sight to behold! Winter usually has snow topped mountains summer beautiful bright evenings with daylight till 9 or 10 pm, and Spring and Autumn seasons offer a changing landscape to take your breath away! Of course there is rain at times, it is Scotland after all and its what makes the landscape so vibrant, and gives us the legendary Scotch Mist ! When it rains , there is always time to sample the hospitality Scotland is famous for, with a wee dram , in the local hostellrie , meeting the locals and enjoying traditional Highland music and stories
The Loch Ness / Fort Augustus area
Fort Augustus is situated at the head of Loch Ness, where the Loch meets the Caledonian Canal. The location is stunning, surrounded by mountains and views from every angle of Loch Ness . The village is lively and bustling with shops , pubs restaurants ,and Loch Boat cruises and other water activities available. Fort Augustus is a .canal lock village so a variety of boats and cruisers pass through the locks, and are available for hire. There are many activities available locally from Golf ,Fishing . Shooting , wildlife and photographic safaries cycling, quad biking, and hill walking . The Rock Ness rock music festival is held every June, on the loch side and features big name artists, and many other local festivals , from local brewed beer to arts and crafts and theatrical performances. and the nearby Nessie museum tells the complete story with audio visual ,of the legend of the monster of Loch Ness. There are many high quality eating establishments in the village and close by.
