Large, lawned garden and decked area with garden furniture. One well behaved dog welcome at £15 per week. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 5 mins walk, pub 2 mins walk. Please note: 11th - 25th Feb 2012 charged at the D price band rate, 07th - 21st July 2012 charged at the H price band rate, 13th Oct - 03rd Nov 2012 charged at the F price band rate.

The Loch Ness / Drumnadrochit area
At the head of Urquhart Bay on the shores of Loch Ness is the village of Drumnadrochit, the centre of the Loch Ness Monster tourism industry. The Loch Ness Monster exhibition is a popular destination for young and old alike. As well as the visitor’s centre, the village provides other amenities for guests including a post office, tea-room, a gift shop and several cafés. Passing through the village is ‘The Great Glen Way’, a 73-mile long path running from Fort William to Inverness and makes the area a magnet for walkers and hikers. Urquhart Castle is a Historic Scotland property and is a fascinating ruin to visit. The city of Inverness is 14 miles away and has a theatre, art galleries, museums and a choice of shops, restaurants and pubs. Just outside the city is the National Trust for Scotland site Culloden Battlefield on Culloden Moor.

The cottage was on a quiet street, with quiet and friendly neighbours. The scenery from the cottage is wonderful. The cottage is central for exploring the Highlands and there are several local walks, shopping facilities and a post office just a short walk away.

,The owner was very friendly and supportive. The cottage was decorated with some fresh flowers and we got a welcome package so we really felt welcome. Drumnadrochit is a starting point for excursions to Glen Affric, the Highlands, Fort William, Isle of Skye, Cairngorns, Inverness, Black Isle, Whisky-Trail and so on. Do not miss a journey with the Jacobite Steam Railway! We also received great support by Sykes!

,There was plenty of space in the cottage and the garden was huge. The cottage was well placed to visit all the local sights. It was clean and tidy and welcoming. There were plenty of leaflets in the lounge with all the tourist attractions available in the area. It was so peaceful and quiet and we give it a 5 star rating.

,A very well equipped cottage in a very quiet location, ideally located for visiting the most beautiful parts of Scotland. The owner greeted us on arrival, was friendly, made us feel welcome and supplied very useful basic necessities. Having stayed in Invermoriston before, we found Drumnadrochit a better place and a modern warm property to snuggle down in was bliss!
