Large comfortable and spacious villa. Easy access for city breaks to Glasgow or Edinburgh. Situated just 5 miles from Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Wide variety of hill walking within the vicinity of the house and surrounding area. It is also just 75 minutes drive from Glen Coe ski resort.

The property sleeps 10 persons in five bedrooms (5 doubles). There is a large lounge, TV lounge, study, kitchen diner and utility room. The kitchen is well equipped with a modern range, microwave and fridge / freezer and has all the utensils you will need for self catering. Dumbarton is an excellent base for a family holiday with easy access to both city and countryside pursuits. Outdoor activities are available throughout the year - and all the comforts of home within the property.

The Central Scotland/Edinburgh region

Dumbarton is the Ancient capital of Strathclyde. Nestling on the banks of the Firth of Clyde and just a few miles from Loch Lomond National Park. Visit Dumbarton's historic castle where Mary Queen of Scots was once imprisoned or visit the famous "Denny" tank, the world's first commercial ship modelling test tank.

Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park is within 3 miles and is home to many great scenic walking trails along the main loch. There are restaurants, coffee shops, visitors centres, nature reserves, hiking, watersports and golfing. Close by are Loch Lomond and Carrick Golf Clubs. Loch Lomond is home to the Barclays Scottish Open golf Tournament, one of the most prestigious golf events on the European Tour, played in the second week of July. The Carrick is a new course which has already featured the Women's British Open.
Nearby is Loch Lomond Shores the gateway to Scotland’s first National Park. It is a most spectacular visitor destination combining the beautiful environment with an outstanding mixture of leisure and shopping experiences overlooking the majesty of Loch Lomond at Balloch.

Also nearby lies the Duck Bay Marina resort as well and the Cameron House Hotel both of which sit on the very the banks of loch lomond and offer a vast array of facilities inclusing bars,restaurants,golfing and watersports.

There are also boat sailings from Balloch and the Balloch Castle country park
