The Central Scotland/Edinburgh region

Lomond Castle is ideal situated,with the Highlands and Islands to the west and Edinburgh and Glasgow to the east.

Edinburgh is well-known for the annual Edinburgh Festival, a collection of official and independent festivals held annually over about four weeks from early August. This beautiful capital of Scotland draws holiday makers from different parts of the world and is known for its incredible atmosphere, architecture and culture.

Loch Lomond National Park area

There are a number of quality resraraunts aroun the loch including Cameron House Hotel favoured by international sport and film stars. There is local shoping in Balloch (1mile) incuding a supermarket and aJenners.

There are regular boat trips from Balloch and there is also a ferry to the Island of Inchmurrin where there is a hotel and restaurant.

How to get there

From Glasgow airport take M80 towards Greenock, follow signs for Erskine bridge. Cross bridge and take the A82 north,follow signs to Loch Lomond.

When you reach Stonymullen roundabout at Balloch carry straight on.

Look for sign to Cruin restaurant ,proceed towards Cruin past lodge house at start of private road. You will see gates to Lomond Castle, stop and press No 11 for entry.
