Key Info

The perfect retreat for a couple visiting the beautiful Trossachs region of Scotland, Duke's Cottage offers cosy accommodation near the centre of the popular village of Aberfoyle.

Within easy reach of both the amenities of Aberfoyle and the stunning surrounding countryside you could easily spend a day on the local trails, walking by lochs, through woodland trails and over the tops of the nearby hills before retreating to one of the excellent pubs only minutes from the cottage door. If their open fires and real ales don't hold appeal every night you could always grab a bottle of wine, put your feet up in front of the cottage wood burning stove and have a night in.

Mornings can be spent in (or outside!) one of the local cafes or out on the cottage balcony high above the street below.

With a comfortable double bedroom and a fold out futon bed in the lounge the property can sleep up to 4 but it as accommodation for a couple that it truly excels. Exposed beams in the lounge add to the cosy feel while velux windows lining the lounge make it feel airy and bright through the day.

A perfect location to enjoy bluebells in the spring, long summer evenings, the famous autumn colours of the Trossachs and bracing winter walks. Whether you are looking for a holiday packed with activity, or just a relaxing retreat, you will love Duke's Cottage.

The accommodation comprises a small entrance hall, a well appointed dining kitchen and a double bedroom with en-suite shower room on the ground floor.

Stairs lead up to the first floor where there is a living room equipped with 32" Samsung LCD TV, DVD player, small library of books and board games and a wood burning stove to cosy up by. There is also a double sofa bed to accommodate additional guests and a small WC. To the side of the property there is a small external raised decking area with table and chairs. There is also a covered area where we have bolted in an anchor for locking bikes to.

Electricity, towels, linen, crockery and cutlery are all provided along with a basket of fuel for the wood burning stove. We can provide a safety stair gate and high chair for guests with young children, on request.

Parking is on street, generally no more than around 50 yards away from the door.
