"A very well equipped and cosy cottage"
Our 3 day stay was perfect from beginning to end. The cottage is very well equipped and the hot tub just makes this a wonderful experience. Far enough off the road to be quiet but very easy to get to. I would recommend this complex, there are other properties of various sizes, to anyone

"Perfect place to stay and unwind."
Just back from a long weekend stay at Rose cottage and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Set in a beautiful and peaceful setting near Loch Lomond, just the ticket to recharge the batteries. The cottage was lovely, decorated to a high standard with all that we needed for our stay, with the hot tub being the highlight after a hard days walking! Extremely helpful and friendly staff with nothing being too much trouble. Would recommend this cottage to anyone looking to get away from it all without having to travel too far from Glasgow. Even the dog enjoyed it! Will definitely be back.

Stayed at Rose Cottage with a few girl friend and had a great time. The cottage is lovely and cosy and the hot tub is a fantastic addition. I your are going to stay here I'd take old towels to lay on the floor of cottage when coming in and out the hot tub as the floor can get rather wet

""Auchendennan's Rose Cottage - on the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond!""
Firstly, great location for Loch Lomond and the stunning surrounding
Auchendennan covers a wider area,so be careful of turning up too soon towards what used to be the old youth hostel. We wondered if some signage at the entrance might be helpful for those who don't know the area?
Plenty to do in the immediate area and ideal gateway for the Highlands too. You'll not be stuck for things to do - perfect golf territory!
Easy booking process and Angela offered the perfect welcome on arrival to the property.
Rose Cottage adjoins the main house although in reality this didn't affect our privacy in anyway - not a problem.
The cottage has been kitted out to generally a high standard throughout.
We thought of a few very minor points that would have added to the overall experience
- Improved permutations to the lighting in the kitchen/lounge area
- Mat at the front door entrance from the decking into the cottage
- The kitchen table was unsteady
- We agreed with earlier reviews on the size of the bed in the main bedroom and that a washing machine would be handy (not sure where you would put it though?)
Be very careful of the step into the bedrooms (maybe a "mind the step" sign would help). One of our party had quite a bad fall as a result - so we did feel that this needs highlighting (we also mentioned it to Mrs McGowan on departure)
Overall a thoroughly enjoyable stay and we would certainly recommend to others. The hot tub was a perfect addition to the property.
Book it - we don't think you'll regret it......
Thank you for your review of Auchendennan Rose Cottage and comments on how we can improve this property and our services.
We currently have signage on order and hope to have it in place shortly into the new year. We are aware that this location is tucked away privately.
We will check the table and fix as necessary.
There usually is a mat at the front door, we will make sure this is put back.
We are aware the super king size bed and its frame is perhaps a little large for the room and we are about to replace with a king size devan to ensure more space in the main bedroom. We are also aware that other guests seem to like the extra size too though.
We conciously did not include a washer and dryer due to the size of the property and also because this property tends to attract those on short term stays, i.e. a few days at a time. Our larger cottages do have all these facilities. We do however make access available to washing a drying facilities outwith Rose Cottage and this should be explained on all the advertisement for the property. We will check this is mentioned.
Lastly, i am sorry to hear one of your party had a fall. You are correct, there is one step to the second room and half a step into the main bedroom.
There are also 3 steps up onto the decking to the main entrance too. We will put in place further signage to draw attention to this.
Thank you again for staying and we hope to see you again in the future.
