The 2 holiday cottages are set within 4 acres of formal gardens. The owners main house is also set within the formal gardens.
The cottage has a cosy chalet feel to the upstairs with sloping roofs and pine floors. Lush soft furnishings and careful lighting make the bedrooms very inviting. The master suite has been fitted with a beautiful new shower room, featuring Travertine stone tiles and Heritage Fixtures and fittings.
Downstairs you'll enjoy the open plan lay out allowing you to make the most of the large wood burning stove throughout the evenings. You'll find enough space for 6 around the dining table as wells as a 2 & 3 seater couch. The kitchen is well equipped to cater for a large group. The floor is laid with terra-cotta tiles making Buzzard very friendly with walkers, cyclers, kids and dogs.
Your children will enjoy our well stocked games cupboard : pictionary, giant snakes & ladders, colouring books and pencils, puzzles and books. Or simply allow them the freedom to run around the gardens and play on the rope swing.
Cottage guests have access to the Utility room where you will find the following: ironing board, iron, extra garden chairs, mops, brushes and loungers, BBQ's and bike / fishing storage.
The Nether Glenny Estate is located within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. The area is well known for it's natural scenic beauty and the lochs are famous for water sports, including water skiing, wind surfing and sailing. If you enjoy any of the following then Buzzard cottage is for you: Fishing, cycling, mountain biking, walking, hiking, wildlife watching, golf, running, fishing, Go Ape High Rope experience, sightseeing, views, fine dining and of course relaxation. Buzzard has a large open plan living area downstairs comprising of a lounge,kitchen and dining area. The cottages is spacious,well equipped and tastefully decorated.
There are2 large bedrooms upstairs which are both en suite. Master bedroom has an ensuite shower room and the family room has a bathroom with mixer taps over the bath. One bedroom has a luxury Kingsized Bed and the other room can be configured as a Super-king plus a single bed or as 3 single beds. Buzzard is a unique cottage ideal for 1 or 2 couples or a family. The original barn stone walls have been retained to add a rustic theme.

There is a patio seating area outside with wooden table / parasol and seating for up to 6 people. A BBQ, loungers and outdoor chairs are available for guests. There are 4 acres of formal garden to play or relax in and a further 80 acres of Estate for walking and hiking. There are many wonderful hikes/ walks which can be accessed directly from Nether Glenny. There is a rope swing that children and welcome to use.
Fishing boat available to hire. Magnificent rural setting.
The Central Scotland/Strathclyde region
The National Park encompasses around 720 sq miles (1,865 sq km) of some of the finest scenery in Scotland and is split into four distinct areas. Nether Glenny is within the Trossachs which is famous for it's wild glens and sparkling lochs between Callander and Aberfoyle. A highlight is the climb or drive up through the twisting Duke’s Pass to Loch Katrine.
It is a place of contrasts from rolling lowland landscapes in the south to high mountains in the north, and has many lochs and rivers, forests and woodlands. It is also a living, working landscape which has been influenced by people for generations and is visited and enjoyed by many for its recreational value.
There are 21 Munros (mountains above 3,000ft) in the Park and the highest is Ben More at 1,174m.
There are 19 Corbetts (mountains between 2,500ft and 3,000ft).
There are 22 larger lochs, with numerous smaller lochs and lochans.
About 50 rivers and large burns.

Swimming - There is a local 22 m Swimming Pool in Callander located at the McLaren High School open to public at various times ( Mc Laren Leisure Centre (01877 330000) The inflatable fun session on a Friday evening is a must for under 13yrs.

ABERFOYLE GOLF COURSE - Aberfoyle is a hilly course that lies only a mile out of the village on the main Stirling road. It is one of the many James Braid-designed heathland courses in the country and was established as far back as 1890.The course has stunning views west to Ben Lomond and south to the Campsie Hills, so the overall panorama is quite superb. Although relatively short, it is a tricky par 66 course with a number of neat little holes including the fourth, where a good tee shot leaves a short uphill approach to a green cut into the hillside.
CYCLING IN THE TROASSACHS -One Of The Best Ways To Explore the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs national Park is by bike. HILLWALKING IN THE TROSSACHS -The Trossachs is a great place to start Hillwalking in the southern highlands. Mountains, lochs, forests, old railway lines, rocky mountain passes, drove roads, there is something for everybody on hill walking holidays in the Trossachs. Rob Roy way passes close to the Nether Glenny Estate.
BIRD WATCHING - If you are a bird enthusiast then Nether Glenny is the place for you. The Nether Glenny estate is home to yearly house martins and swallows who visit our barn and build their nests in the roof of the main house. INCHMAHOLME PRIORY - Beautiful island based Augustinian monastry founded in 1238 www.historic-scotland.gov.uk Views across to the priory are accessible from the Estate. The ferry port for the priory is only a few miles from Nether Glenny.
