The cabin is also one of the original built by the Forestry Commission – meaning although small, it is gem like! The cabin offers a holiday in Scotland for both those looking to relax and for those looking for adventure. In the grounds of the cabin is a fully equipped BBQ hut which provides an indoor eating & socialising space – cook your own fish if you catch any!

The balcony is a great place to relax and enjoy alfresco dining while taking in the fantastic views. The wood burning stove keeps the cabin very cosy in winter. You can fish from the shore directly in front of the cabin and hire boats locally to explore the Lochs nooks and crannies.

The cabin is situated in the small village of Dalavich, in Inverliever Forest making a great base for fishing, walking and cycling trips with forests, rivers, mountains and Lochs to explore.

The cabin sleeps 5 people in 1 double bedroom, 1 twin room (with bunk beds) plus a sofa bed in the open-plan lounge making it ideal for couples and families. There is car parking for 2 cars.

The Central Scotland/Strathclyde region

The holiday cabin is situated in the small village of Dalavich, in Inverliever Forest making a great base for fishing, walking, boating and cycling trips with forests, rivers, mountains and lochs to explore. There are miles of forest tracks and roads in the area, suitable for the serious walker or mountain biker. Loch Awe one of Scotland's largest and most beautiful fresh water lochs which stretches for 25 miles and sits between Loch Etive and Loch Fyne.

Taynuilt, on the main road to Oban, has a post office, grocer, and butcher but Oban (26 miles) is the nearest major town and the ferry terminal to the Western Isles. The town has a full range of shops and supermarkets.

Loch Awe

Within Dalavich is a community run bar/restaurant, situated within the cabin park which is owned by the village but guests from the cabins are warmly welcomed. The bar is open 7 nights a week (April to October) and 4 nights a week (November to March).

Boats can be hired in the village and there is also a small shop, café & post office. The area boasts a vast array of wildlife, and many can be seen within the park itself. Watch out for pine martins, red squirrels, red & roe deer, otters and eagles.

"Loch Awesome!"

Had a fabulous time at Stalkers. Cabin ideal for us as a couple. Small but well equipped with cutlery, crockery, cleaning stuff, pots and pans etc. Cosy with heaters and wood burning stove - recommend… More

Thank you for your review and we hope you stay with us again. I am glad you found the fishmonger at Oban and the light switch! The fishmonger is a delight and one of the tastiest dishes I've ever had on the BBQ was scallops bought from there.

Thank you for the lovely review and I don't think I will ever get bored of the view over the Loch or the sound of silence at night there.

"Peaceful and quiet"

If you are looking for a place to chill out and relax then this is it.The ducks were an added bonus,is there anything they don't eat?Only used the bbq hut once and it was lovely. The Loch Awe gril… More

We are delighted you had a good time at the cabin and got to meet some of our friendly feathered neighbours. They are rather gutsy wee ducks and I wouldn't be surprised if they start hanging outside the BBQ waiting for scraps! I will look into getting some games/ indoor activities to keep the younger children occupied too and we hope you all visit again soon.

"Wonderful Cabin"

Stayed in this cabin for 5 nights what a fantastic setting it is only a few yards from the Loch and has its own private beach. The cabin is perfect for that get away from it all holiday, it has all you need we went in February but had great weather even though the temperature dropped well below freezing outside we were always warm and cosy in the cabin with electric heaters in all the rooms and a great log burner in the main room, Watching the sun rise over the loch while sat having breakfast was brilliant I would have no hesitation to recommend this cabin. We will definitely be back. No review of this place would be complete without a mention of the barbecue hut, great concept, fantastic party hut, out of the cold and wind, music, seating and a sizzling barbecue what more could you want.

Thank you for the lovely review and yes, the cabin definitely does cosy. Nothing beats the heat of the BBQ hut when it's cold outside!
